Hyundai Sime Darby Motors have announced the updated price list with zero rated GST. The prices are for all Hyundai models starting 1st June 2018 with zero-rated Goods and Services Tax (GST) and are valid until further notice.
The change will come when the Government of Malaysia either reverts to the previous Sales and Services Tax (SST) or comes up with a different tax structure to replace the GST.
Do note that this is a temporary and unusual event. There has not been a period to date where Malaysians can buy a car without any sort of sales tax. It could be a nice time to get that large item that you've always wanted, like a car.
