Last week (27 April) marked the official opening of the Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), Ford dealer facility in Kuching, Sarawak. Built to Ford's global corporate identity (CI) standards, the Sime Darby Auto Connexion (Kuching) facility, as it is officially known as, is located at Rock Road and is a 2,033 square meter facility.
The showroom area of this new facility can display up to six vehicles and there are 13 service bays equipped with hoists to cater for all servicing needs. It also has a customer lounge which has Wi-Fi, hot drinks and snacks so that customers can be comfortable while waiting for their service to be completed.
Sime Darby Auto Connexion is the authorised dealer of Ford Motor Company and here, they have stated that this is their latest in expanding their network and customer servicing. The new dealership in Kuching is part of improving customer touch points in East Malaysia, a place where Ford vehicles, especially their SUV and pick-up trucks, are rising in popularity.
“Sime Darby Auto Connexion (Kuching) is the latest proof point in our network expansion and customer service enhancement plan, helping support Ford’s fast-growing customer base in East Malaysia,” said Syed Ahmad Muzri Bin Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto Connexion.
As the new facility is a fully Ford compliant centre, it is staffed by certified technicians and it is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and special tools to provide Ford Authorised Service as well as also a supply of commonly used genuine spare parts which should cover the basic needs of Ford customers in and around the Kuching region.
One other key point that Sime Darby Auto Connexion would like to state is that the Ford Sime Darby Auto Connexion (Kuching) employees, including technicians, sales and service staff have received globally recognised hands-on training to develop their expertise and serve customers’ needs. It always is stressed nowadays that after-sales service and ownership experience is paramount and Ford, and SDAC seem to be emphasising on this too.

The SDAC Kuching showroom is located at Lot 19, Block 10, 1 ½ Mile, Rock Road, 93200 Kuching, Sarawak. The showroom is open from 8:30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 8:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, while the service centre’s opening hours are 8:00am-5:00pm from Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm on Saturday.
