MAN Malaysia aims for a comeback into Sarawak- The MAN Malaysia team visits Kuching, Bintulu and Sibu

MAN Trucks are steadily making inroads into being a popular brand within the prime mover segment here in Malaysia. So for their latest push into regaining market segments, MAN Malaysia have now set their sights in making a  comeback into Sarawak with a visit to customers who operate MAN vehicles in Kuching, Bintulu and Sibu.. From 2005 till 2013, nearly 190 MAN Trucks were sold by the appointed dealer in Sarawak and was quite an important market for MAN Trucks here with a large customer base . 

In Kuching, the MAN Malaysia team paid a courtesy call to a customer whose fleet consisted of MAN CLA medium/heavy duty trucks that unfortunately has been largely decommissioned after serving for over a decade.  One of the drivers who was assigned a MAN CLA shared his amazement at the impressive pulling power of the truck on hilly roads despite its tiny 6.8-litre engine (in truck terms, this is small).

On the 25th August of 2023, Lu & Sons Engineering Sdn Bhd celebrated 40 years of partnership with Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM). with the official opening of their newly upgraded HINO 3S Centre in Bintulu, Sarawak. Lu & Sons have been offering full 3S services at this centre since 1997 and with this upgrade, the centre now sports Hino's latest corporate identity showroom, customer lounge and the latest in the necessary equipment that makes customers and staff have the best can be offered by the brand.

Mansang Logistics Takes Delivery of the First Scania New Truck Generation XT Rigid Truck and Enters into the Scania Ecolution Agreement

Mansang Logistics is the first truck operator in Sarawak to sign the Scania Ecolution Agreement. The signing of the agreement also coincided with the delivery of Mansang Logistics' First Scania New Truck Generation XT Rigid type heavy duty truck. The Scania Ecolution agreement was entered between Scania Malaysia represented by Phang Yee Fong, the Regional Manager for the East Coast and East Malaysia, Scania Southeast Asia and Lim Kee San,Head of Customer Management who represeted Mansang Logistics Sdn Bhd.

Scania Malaysia via its Master Sustainability fund has contributed to the first Sustainability Gallery at Sekolah Kebangsaan (National School) Nanga Ajau in Betong, Sarawak. This shows Scania Malaysia’s commitment towards inculcating all walks of life, especially the students of the school, the importance of sustainability for the betterment of our future.

Happenings: Team Isuzu Raises Funds For Sarawak Charities by Participating in the Kuching Marathon 2019


Members of Team Isuzu, which included the Isuzu Malaysia CEO, Koji Nakamura had participated in the Kuching Marathon 2019 earlier today (18 August 2019). They had handed over mock cheques of the funds / pledges raised by the team to Hope Place Kuching and Persatuan OKU Kuching at a small ceremony at the event.

Ford Ranger and their Owners Travel from Sibu to Kapit, Sarawak in their Vehicles During this Year's 4X4 Sarawak Jamboree


You want to know how good a vehicle is? You talk to the owners of the vehicle, or in this case, the Ford Ranger Owners who participated in the recent 4X4 Sarawak Jamboree. This is the largest annual gathering of Ford Ranger owners (and their pickup trucks) in Sarawak and they've fully embraced the 'Ranger Lifestyle' and the 'Built Ford Tough' philosophy as a whole. They're also one of the more heavy-duty owners of the Ranger as they were part of a 175 vehicle convoy which traveled through a totally new off-road track from Sibu to Kapit.

Perodua Aiming for the Aruz to Top SUV Sales in Sabah & Sarawak / Perodua Aruz TransBorneo Convoy is Ongoing - 16th to 22nd March 2019


Perodua has announced that is would like for their new SUV, the Perodua Aruz, to top the SUV sales charts over in Sabah and Sarawak. The two states, make up East Malaysia and is a predominantly SUV-driven market. This new target by Perodua was announced at the flag off for the Perodua Aruz TransBorneo Convoy, where six Perodua Aruz will travel from Kuching, Sarawak to Tawau in Sabah. This is a 1,500km journey and should be a journey that will prove the capabilities of the Aruz SUV for the people over there.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) have introduced the Mitsubishi Mobile Service Unit to serve Mitsubishi customers living in rural areas surrounding Kuching, Sarawak. This is part of their after sales expansion program where the mobile service unit will provide better convinience and assurance for their customers who live within a 150km radius from Kuching. This includes small towns such as  Sematan, Lundu, Bau, Serian and Simunjan.

Volvo Trucks Malaysia Funds, Builds Fire Fighting Programme and Eco-Shelters For The Bario People in Sarawak


Volvo Trucks Malaysia recently put into place a fantastic corporate social responsibility initiative for the people at the Bario Asal Lembaa Longhouse settlement . The Swedish truck and bus manufacturer funded and is building a fire-fighting system for the people of the Bario longhouse and the construction of Eco-Shelters along the 25km ancestral trail to make trekking for the community and also for visitors a little bit easier .
