Ford Motor Company kicks off its 14 th annual Global Caring Month in the month of September

September is when the Ford Motor Company starts off its annual Global Caring Month where thousands of Ford employees around the world participate in community projects to create positive impact in people’s lives. Even here in Malaysia, Ford together with its sole distributor, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), celebrates this yearly event where they had organised a full day activity for the elderly at the Sincere Care Home to help improve their living conditions as well as to provide emotional support. This is Ford's 14th annual Global Caring Month.

During the full-day visit to Sincere Care Home, 30 volunteers from SDAC-Ford had offered to help with housekeeping and meals preparation as well as entertaining the senior folk there. Apart from food and games, a spa corner offering manicure, pedicure, facial and haircut services were also set up by the volunteers to help groom the residents of the nursing home. A little bit of pampering goes a long way if you know what I mean.

To help reduce the financial burden of Sincere Care Home's daily operation, the volunteers also gave donations in kind and in cash as well as fixing up some of the buildings. This centre is a nursing home dedicated at looking after senior citizens who were found living on the streets, sent by families who are less able and referred to by hospitals.

Syed Ahmad Muzri Bin Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (pictured above - middle), who was present at the event said, “Ford Global Caring Month programme is a great platform and we are proud to be a part of it. Each year, we get to contribute to a different cause and make a difference in people’s lives. Together with Ford, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for people in our communities where we live and work”

Sincere Care Home has a Facebook page if you are interested in donation or helping them out - https://www.facebook.com/sincerecarehome.pkwim/
