Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new 2019 Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan. The new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan is available at retail price of RM348,888.00 (before insurance) for Peninsular Malaysia. This is the 'baby' AMG A-Class in some ways, as it sits beneath the A45 variant, which hasn't been launched for this new A177 A-Class series as yet.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 comes with AMG bodystyling comes with AMG front apron with front splitter in chrome, AMG rear apron with chrome trim, two visible round exhaust tailpipes and the sporty 19-inch AMG 5-twin spoke light-alloy wheels. It looks are slightly more aggressive than the AMG Line variants as befitting an AMG model.
There are new MULTIBEAM LED headlamps which offer brighter, more natural illumination by night, eye- catching design by day. In addition to the outstanding quality of light, the Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus is able to control the LEDs by switching between low beam, partial main beam and main beam automatically.
The brand New Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan is an all-wheel drive compact premium performance sedan and it is fitted with a 2.0L 4 Cylinder Turbocharged petrol engine which makes 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The transmission is an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G transmission and it is also fitted AMG Performance 4MATIC suspension enables Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and onward to 250kmh.
So while this may be something that isn't an AMG A45, which the previous model was given the title as the most powerful four cylinder 2.0liter hatchback around, this one is a less hot version, with a boot. Still potent, but it fills in a nichel beneath the full monty A45.
While some may think that this is an AMG lite, it is still actually more than the AMG Line models which are popular. This is still what you call a Mercedes-AMG, and not a Mercedes-Benz. So it is quite easy to tell that this is a little bit more special.
In terms of driver assistance goodies, the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan comes with the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs. The driver can intensify the sporty character of the vehicle with five settings:
"Comfort" default setting: well-balanced and fuel-efficient.
"Slippery" drive program: reduced throttle response, control systems which intervene particularly early, optimum mode for rain and slippery surfaces
"Sport" drive program: more agility and dynamics with sporty and firm suspension tuning, spontaneous throttle response and modified shift points
"Sport+" drive program: further enhanced sportiness and drive system feature even more dynamic tuning
"Individual" drive program: variation of individual parameters to suit personal preference Exterior Features
As for the really fully featured tech savvy interior, the A 35 sedan features the AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather/DINAMICA, the distinct AMG centre console, the new Aluminium AMG Design trim elements in black/silver and the black fabric roof lines are responsible creating this sporty ambiance. The next level of connectivity with the car with Mercedes me connect (Mmc) – A mobile system enables customer to connect the vehicle with their mobile phone anywhere at any time. Mercedes me connect offers an extensive services at no cost for first 3 years.
Another Mmc feature is the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system which could save you on emergency in vital minutes. If an accident is detected, a communications module with its own SIM card automatically triggers an emergency call which can shorten the time until the rescue services arrive. In an emergency, the following information is sent to the emergency call centre: the vehicle's GPS position data, direction of travel, vehicle identification number, estimated number of people in the vehicle, manual/automatic triggering, time stamp (time of the accident), language setting in the infotainment system (only in case of connection to the Mercedes-Benz emergency call centre), and drive system type (diesel, petrol, electric, etc.). Alternatively, an emergency call can be triggered manually to organize assistance.
Aside from that, the A 35 features voice commands. There is comprehension of natural speech, the LINGUATRONIC in Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) obeys practically every word. Say “Hey Mercedes” and your MBUX system awaits your instructions by the people inside the car speaking to it. It features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connective suites.
The A35 Sedan also features Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC which makes it easier find a parking space and to enter and leave parallel and end-on parking spaces, as well as to leave parallel parking spaces. It can automatically steer the vehicle into parking spaces and spares the driver the steering and braking actions. Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC is automatically active during forward travel at up to 35 km/h. If the vehicle is travelling slower than 30 km/h, the system indicates with a "P" symbol and a direction arrow in the multifunction display of the instrument cluster that it has located a suitable parking space.
Another notable feature of the new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC Sedan is that it also features Blind Spot Assist which will assist you to detect objects in the car’s blind spot during lane changes, while Active Brake Assist can apply the brakes for you in an emergency.
