This is a nice surprise for Motoring Malaysia...and obviously Yours Truly. We've made it on another Best Auto Blog list on the internet! This time PartCatalog.com, a online car and (pick-up) truck accessories located in Austin, Texas over in America, have graciously put us on their list of 70 Best Auto Blogs to Follow in 2018. Now while this is a means of cross marketing for them, it still is an honour as PartCatalog does not ship to Malaysia where we are based!
So this basically means that these chaps somehow took notice of this small lil' autoblog over in Malaysia. The list consists of both big names and also smaller ones. Big names are those like Jalopnik, Carscoops, Car and Driver, Petrolicious and CarThrottle (hey...a site which I used to contribute to!).
Another interesting fact is that Motoring Malaysia is the only Malaysian automotive website on the list which is pretty international - U.S based, UK, India, etc and we were lucky enough to be chosen. It is nice to put Malaysia on the world map in some small way.
So thanks PartCatalog, a company that has at least 50,000+ customers and one that only ships within the U.S of A, for this honour.
They have sent me a badge which you can see if you are surfing this blog via the desktop browser (you have to change your smartphone setting to desktop to view it if you are on your phone).
It may not be something big for others, but it does mean a whole lot to me. This is the second time (this year) that Motoring Malaysia has been placed on a Top Auto Blog List. The first was Feedspot.com's Top 200 Auto Blogs.
For those that wants to know about site details, Motoring Malaysia at this moment gets around 45,000 to 60,000 page views monthly from around 6,000-12,000 unique visitors per month. It varies because of the content (like if PROTON or Perodua or Toyota announces something new in Malaysia, the hits go up kinda thing). We have won Best Auto Blog at the 2014 Malaysia Social Media Awards and are also PR Newswire's Online Media Partner.
To those that have been following us regularly, we thank you. Those car brands that have invited us for their events, launches, drives and provided us test cars, we thank you so much for the opportunity you have given us.
Anyway, stick around folks...we still speak our mind about motoring and we are getting recognition globally!
