Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) officially announced the rebranded Mercedes-Benz Certified pre-owned passenger car programme. Previously known as the Proven Exclusivity by Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz Certified pre-owned car programme is the strategic certified pre-owned label that represents the highest quality in used cars from the premium marque. Aside from that, MBM, together with dealer-partners Hap Seng Star opened the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre by Hap Seng Star Kinrara. This is the largest Mercedes-Benz Certified standalone pre-owned vehicle centre in Malaysia to date.
Before we talk about the newly rebranded Mercedes-Benz pre-owned passenger car programme, let's describe a little about Hap Seng Star's Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre. It is impressive to say the least! Hap Seng Star poured RM41.3million into this centre and it shows. The place is mighty impressive for something that deals with, if you put it crudely, used cars.
The Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre by Hap Seng Star Kinrara has a built up area of 46,210 square feet and it is able to display over 100 showroom vehicles. You can see it from the photos herein. It also makes it the biggest pre-owned centre in Malaysia when it comes to Mercedes-Benz and is managed by 24 personnel to deliver a complete one-stop solution in sales and financial services exclusively for Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-owned vehicles.
The facility is also equipped with a lifestyle café, children’s playground and Mercedes- Benz lifestyle products are also available for purchase. It feels more like any other Mercedes-Benz Autohaus rather than just a pre-owned centre. You can hang out there and have coffee or tea whilst overlooking a hundred nearly new Mercedes-Benz cars.
Speaking of about the cars, the cars are the Hap Seng Group's company cars as well as Hap Seng Star demo cars. These cars are usually run by Hap Seng for about six months and under 10,000km of mileage in them before they end up at Hap Seng Star's pre-owned centre. This actually ensures that the cars on sale here at the centre is still in very good nick and that there is a stable source of Mercedes-Benz pre-owned cars to sell.
It does make economic sense for Hap Seng to invest in the centre which allows them to sell the cars together with the special Mercedes-Benz sales experience to their customers. This beats buying any grey market or reconditioned used Mercedes-Benz out there. The centre allows the same experience as owners of a new Mercedes Benz.
This new centre is Hap Seng Star‘s second Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-owned centre. The first centre was established in Hap Seng Star Balakong Autohaus in 2016. Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Centre by Hap Seng Star Kinrara is located at No. 18, Jalan BK 1/13, Bandar Kinrara Industrial Park, Puchong, Selangor. The centre on the same street as Mercedes-Benz Hap Seng Star Kinrara Autohaus (just a building or two away).
So, now let's talk abit more on how the newly rebranded Mercedes-Benz Certified programme is run.
Under Mercedes-Benz Certified, the programme offers you the opportunity to own a Mercedes-Benz in an almost new condition and at a slightly more affordable price but with all the warranties and guarantees as close as possible to a brand new car.
So how does Mercedes-Benz do this?
During the short presentation by Dr Claus Weidner, President and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia on the programme, Dr Claus stated that customers can count on nine customer promises when it comes under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme.
Vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme are sourced exclusively from authorized Mercedes-Benz Malaysia dealers, are not older than six years and clocked less than 125,000km, with no identifiable structural damage. All these vehicles must only be fully serviced and maintained by authorized Mercedes-Benz service centres with only original parts are used.
Offers that comes with a Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle
To ensure customers’ peace of mind, all vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme are prepared to fulfil the same criteria, in order to offer customers with nine intriguing promises of why they should choose a Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle.
Firstly, in maintaining high standards and quality, each vehicle will undergo a 215 multi-point inspection by certified technicians before receiving the Mercedes-Benz Certified stamp of approval. The inspection includes appearance inspection, engine components, and electrical systems to chassis and body, as well as extensive road tests. All this to ensure that the owners are able to take the road ahead and discover their appreciation for motoring in their Mercedes-Benz with total confidence and pride.
Prior to purchasing a Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle, customers are offered the option to test drive any Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles to ensure it caters to their needs and requirements. Aside from that, customers are also given the option to trade-in their existing vehicle when purchasing a Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle.
All Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles will be checked and verified for genuine service and maintenance records from an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer and ensured to have a guaranteed mileage at the time of the customer handover. These vehicle are also covered by a 12-month warranty extension with unlimited mileage above the remaining manufacturer warranty. On top of that, vehicles under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme also come with finance and insurance services offered, catering to their customers’ needs.
Under the Mercedes-Benz Certified programme, customers are also assured flexible and affordable service contracts for the service and maintenance package of their Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles. Lastly, the 24-hours road assistance is also applicable to all Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicle owners in the event of emergency breakdown.
Offers and Promos with the launch of Mercedes-Benz Certified
Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia and Hap Seng Star have also officially introduced the 'Young Star Agility Financing' programme. This is a programme that offers Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts a chance to own a certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz cars in an almost new condition and at an attractive market price.
Under Young Star Agility Financing, Mercedes-Benz customers can enjoy flexible end of agreement options and end-to-end solutions such as flexible financing, insurance solutions, service maintenance and extended limited warranty tailored to the customers’ preference. Further ensuring customers’ peace-of- mind, the future value of Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be guaranteed by Hap Seng Star.
