There is currently a Peugeot roadshow over at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre and the new, facelifted Peugeot 308 THP is there on display. Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Peugeot vehicles here in Malaysia have decided to preview the New 308 THP at the Peugeot Motion & Emotion Roadshow at the shopping centre.
The New Peugeot 308 THP gets a redesigned front bumper, bonnet and radiator grille which now takes after the latest styling cues of the marque. This is a very good looking hatchback. It was, and it still is.
Inside, the 308 THP features the very unique Peugeot i-Cockpit with its compact steering wheel and 9.7-inch HD touchscreen, as well as a heads-up display positioned at the driver’s optimum eye level and raised instrument cluster (above the steering wheel, unlike most cars which you view the instruments through the steering wheel) as well as the centre console.
The New 308 THP also has a full infotainment system which has Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple Carplay for connecting with most smart devices currently on sale today. Other notable equipment includes a 180° Reverse Camera with auto zoom for easier parking and reversing.
According to Nasim, the the New 308 THP's powertrain performs better than ever. The 1.6 litre THP engine which drives the front wheels via a 6-speed auto transmission with Quickshift Technology (with Sport mode for spirited driving) now makes 15 PS more than the pre-facelift model. The engine now makes 167 PS at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm at 1,400 rpm of peak torque. This allows the 308 THP to achieve a top speed of 211 km/h. It is also tuned for efficiency and Peugeot claims that it can hit a range-topping 800 km on a single tank of petrol.
Aside from the above, the C-segment hatchback is equipped with safety systems including Peugeot Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). Typically European in that it has a lot of safety features.
The new Peugeot 308 THP can be had in five colours - Pearl White, Ultimate Red, Artense Grey, Magnetic Blue and Nera Black.

The New Peugeot 308 THP is available for viewing from today until 28 th October 2018 at the 1 Utama New Wing alongside the New 308 GTi (the more powerful sibling), the 3008 SUV, 5008 SUV and 208 Puretech.
