Daihatsu (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (DMSB) recently held a small hand over ceremony for the delivery of 36 fleet units of the Daihatsu Gran Max Panel Van to Indah Water Konsortium Sdn. Bhd. (IWK). This is the second fleet order by IWK following their previous purchase in October 2017. IWK was represented by En. Faizal Othman; Chief Executive Officer and En. Ir. Mohd Taufik Salleh; Head of Regional Operation Southern graced by Mr. Makoto Ogawa; Executive Director and En. Arman Mahadi; General Manager from Daihatsu Malaysia.

Other attendees consisted of IWK representatives which included management and drivers as well as from Daihatsu Malaysia. The IWK drivers were present  at Daihatsu Malaysia’s head office for a hands-on training session specifically on vehicle handling where they were then presented with a certificate upon completion of the short training session.

According to Daihatsu Malaysia, the Daihatsu Gran Max had proven its worth to IWK in delivering excellent, efficient and reliable service in their day to day operations. This actually prompted IWK to make this additional fleet purchase.

DMSB Executive Director, Mr. Makoto Ogawa said “We are glad to provide product quality to Indah Water Konsortium in developing and maintaining a modern and efficient sewerage system to Malaysia. We’d like to thank IWK for their continuous support and looking forward to building a long-term collaboration together.”

The 2018 Daihatsu Gran Max Semi Panel van is a light duty van and flexible in terms of its use. According to Daihatsu, the Gran Max is especially useful for most general duty work including but not limited to making deliveries, crew & repair vehicle and utilities contracting. It is powered by a 97hp / 134Nm 1.5liter DVVT engine driving its rear wheels via a 5 speed manual gearbox.
