The Perodua Bezza compact sedan won three awards at the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) Malaysia Car of the Year 2016 awards recently. It won the Car of the Year 2016 award for the Entry Level category for the Bezza 1.3 Advanced, People’s Choice 2016 for the Bezza 1.3 Advanced and the Most Significant Design Achievement for the Perodua Bezza (overall design).
Quite reasonable and deserving I must say. The Bezza Advanced is the Bezza variant that is packed with safety and other features. It comes with a reasonable price and is also ASEAN NCAP approved. It is a sedan, which is a body type that Malaysians love to buy and it is packed with features. Malaysians love features even though some may not used them. This is also why the Bezza Advanced won the People's Choice award too. The correct price for a car that looks modern with a lot of equipment.
As for Most Significant Design Achievement, I believe that the Bezza Sedan is a significant milestone for the Malaysian automotive industry as a whole. I mean it is the first sedan designed by Perodua. If that isn't significant I don't know what is.
Congratulations to Perodua for what they have won and what they have achieved with the BEZZA.

Perodua Bezza wins three awards at the Malaysia Car of the Year 2016
Kuala Lumpur, 17 Dec: Perodua received three awards which are for
Perodua Bezza at the Malaysia Car of the Year 2016 Awards Night on 15th
December 2016.
“These three awards are recognition of our efforts to always place our customers’
safety and comfort in our products and services. We would like to thank all
Malaysian especially our customers for their trust and support towards Perodua,”
Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh
said.
The Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed were
present at the event alongside Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Automotive
Institute (MAI) Dato’ Madani Sahari.
Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd Managing Director, YBhg Dato’ Dr. Zahari Husin received
the awards from Chairman of Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) YBhg Datuk
Muhamad Noor Yacob.
This prestigious award started in 2002, when a group of motoring journalists
established Malaysia’s first Car of the Year Awards. For this year, the event held at
the Saujana hotel, Subang was organised by the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI)
and named as Malaysia Car of the Year Awards.
The entry level category was measured by the criteria of the first-time car buyers that
were looking for great-value buys, while for People’s Choice category, was based on
online voting via website.
The Perodua Bezza was designed to be a compact sedan which offers space and
fuel efficiency with affordability as the main goal. It was launched with the new
technology and safety features which received a 5-star rating by ASEAN NCAP,
making it the first 5-star Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) national sedan (for 1.3L
variant).
On 29 th November 2016, Perodua Bezza also bagged the Best Child Occupant
Protection (COP) for Small Family Car category and Best Adult Occupant Protection
(AOP) for Small Family Car category at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards held
at Sepang International Circuit.
The sedan comes in 5 variants, the 1.0L Manual Transmission & Automatic
Transmission; the 1.3L “Premium X” Manual & Automatic Transmission; and the 1.3L
“Advance Version” Automatic Transmission.
