Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s corporate public relations programme received the Bronze award in the Corporate Branding category at the 2015/16 Malaysia PR Awards held in Kuala Lumpur recently. The entry titled, ‘Going Beyond Boundaries’, was submitted by Centriq PR Sdn Bhd, who are Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s public relations consultancy.
The Malaysia PR Awards is the industry awards organised by the Public Relations Consultants’ Association of Malaysia (PRCA Malaysia), an organisation dedicated to fostering public relations excellence, to recognise successful campaigns of organisations and PR Consultancies, as well as individuals that define the cutting edge of work in the public relations arena.
I have mentioned that the human factor is very important even in this field.Having personally met those from Centriq PR at some of the events organised I must say that they are a bunch of dedicated people, who know their stuff and still wear their hearts on the sleeve.
It isn't just motor vehicles you know. In any industry there are people involved in every aspect. Tightening one screw, one bolt or in this case, one press release or one campaign. But each of the job describe needs a person to work on it.

‘Going Beyond Boundaries’ Awarded Bronze in Corporate Branding Category
Petaling Jaya, 2 November 2016 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s corporate public relations programme received the Bronze award in the Corporate Branding category at the 2015/16 Malaysia PR Awards held in Kuala Lumpur recently. The entry titled, ‘Going Beyond Boundaries’, was submitted by Centriq PR Sdn Bhd, the premium German marque’s public relations consultancy.
Commenting on the achievement, Centriq PR managing director, Jacqueline Arnold, said, “Public relations programmes are only successful when supported by the C-level, and we have that from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia. These awards are the result of teamwork; of consultancy and client working together seamlessly as one unit, coupled with the best chemistry.”
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia President and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner, applauded the team on the achievement. “We recognise the value of public relations. This campaign was part of our strategy to raise awareness about Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s commitment to the Malaysian market and leadership in the premium segment, be it through products or customer experience excellence. The campaign has certainly proven successful, and this award is an added bonus. It is even more meaningful as Mercedes-Benz celebrates our 130! Years of Innovation this year. I congratulate the team, and thank them for their dedication and enthusiasm,” he said.
