Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) on the Movement Control Order due to COVID-19 Coronavirus - All Events Postponed



This is the second day into the Movement Control Order placed on the country by the Government of Malaysia. So lets have another announcement on the matter, this time from an agency of the government dealing with the automotive industry, MARii, the  Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute which is the agency that spearheads the country's automotive policy and future plans.


The announcement islike the other ones we have read or heard and all activities, meetings, seminars and other gatherings related to MARii has been postponed or cancelled. Do take note and do limit your own movement in light of this COVID-19 coronavirus restriction on movement.

ANNOUNCEMENT ON MARii OPERATIONS DURING MOVEMENT CONTROL
ORDER, 18 TH TO 31 ST MARCH 2020

17 th March 2020, Cyberjaya – In line with the Movement Control Order that was announced
by the Prime Minister, YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd. Yassin, the Malaysia
Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), is announcing the following actions taken in
order to allow operations to continue as much as possible, while taking all precautions
necessary to play our part in combating the spread of COVID-19.
Firstly, while MARii’s premises are not accesible to the public during the Movement Control
Order, our officers will continue their duties as usual, through a work-from-home
arrangement that allows operations to be conducted online.
Any engagement with the public, industry stakeholders and the government will continue
through the use of available technology to allow meetings and discussions to be performed
virtually through applications such as the Zoom, which is available on both Android and iOS
devices, as well as desktop applications on personal computers.
Secondly, all MARii activities and programmes that are scheduled to occur between 17 th to
31 st March 2020 will also be postponed to a date that will be announced later. This
postponement will also affect programmes that are held in MARii’s Centres of Excellence
(MARii Academy of Technology, MARii Design Centre, National Emission Test Centre) and
its Satellite in Penampang, Sabah.
Thirdly, all MARii’s communication channels will be open as usual. Should the public have
