Happenings: Battle of The Clubs 2017 - Goodyear Malaysia Organises Car Club Challenge For Malaysian Car Clubs!

Goodyear Malaysia is currently hosting Battle of The Clubs 2017 for eight selected car clubs in Malaysia, featuring a series of fun team challenges, in search for the Best Car Club 2017. The challenge first started in early August 2017 and the “Time Attack” round for the event had just concluded. Participants are now gearing up for the next challenge known as “On The Road Treasure Hunt” across Klang Valley happening tomorrow (as I type), 17 December 2017.

Porsche Macan SportDesign Unveiled - Limited to 40 Units Only

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), Malaysian distributors of Porsche, introduced the new Macan SportDesign Series yesterday. The Macan SportDesign Series gets a lot of equipment which is usually in the options list. It is priced at RM 545,000.00 including all applicable duties, except registration fee, road tax and insurance. This actually represents a substantial saving compared to a similarly well equipped Macan. It is however exclusively limited to only 40 units. 

Truck News: HINO Total Support Contest Malaysia - In Its 4th Year With 110 Contestants From All Over Malaysia This TIme Around

Last weekend was Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd's (HMSM) Hino ‘Total Support Contest’ (TS Contest) for 2017. 110 contestants from over a hundred Hino dealerships throughout Malaysia had participated in this annual skills competition meant for Hino sales and after sales personnel.

It's December 2017, and every time December rolls by I usually take a break in terms of pounding out articles, work or any sort of thing that needs me to use intensive labour or use my brains a bit more than usual. Volkswagen and Lazada Malaysia's Collaboration To Sell Limited Edition Beetles A Roaring Success - All 12 Sold Out In 20 Minutes

The future just arrived. Volkswagen and Lazada Malaysia have sold out all 12 units of the limited edition Beetles within 20 minutes of it being open for bookings. The 12 units of Beetles were offered through Lazada's online portal at a retail price of RM112,112 (before registration and taxes) and one had to place their booking (and its fee) through the website which twelve or so people did.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) and HICOM Auto today launched the Volkswagen Seremban 3S Centre. Currently this is the only authorized Volkswagen centre in Negeri Sembilan and it is the second Volkswagen 3S Centre by HICOM Auto after Volkswagen Semenyih.

Bus / EV News: DEFTECH Announces the Putra NEDO EV Bus - Malaysia's First Super Quick Charge Electric Vehicle

DEFTECH, DRB-HICOM's subsidiary has unveiled Malaysia’s first Super Quick Charge (SQC) Electric Vehicle (EV) - the Putra NEDO EV bus. The SQC EV Bus project is part of  the Memorandum of Understanding entered into by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan. The SQC EV bus project is the first step into making the Federal Government Administrative Centre, Putrajaya, a more eco-friendly city.

Truck News: ISUZU MALAYSIA Delivers 115 Units of Isuzu ELF Trucks to City-Link Express

This is quite a deal for Isuzu Malaysia. The Japanese vehicle manufacturer recently delivered 115 units of various Isuzu trucks to City-Link Express (M) Sdn Bhd as part of their 2017 fleet agreement purchase. This saw 105 units of the Isuzu ELF 4-wheeler (NLR77UEE) model and 10 units of the Isuzu ELF 6-wheeler (NQR75UKN) model. This new trucks now join the City-Link fleet of which now has 322 units of Isuzu trucks.
