VIDEO: A very, very, very short test drive of the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0l Bi-turbo Diesel Pickup truck

This is a  video of the very very short test drive we had with the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0l Bi-Turbo pickup truck. Totally impromptu and unscripted. 

The launch event held at the Technology Park in Bukit Jalil continues throughout this weekend where interested parties can register and try out the Ranger Raptor. We managed a very, very short test drive of the Ranger Raptor 2.0L and we were quite impressed with its SUV or even car like refinement inside, even though we were doing a little bit of off-roading. Noise suppression was seriously good and it does feel more SUV rather than a pickup truck. The video is below:-

The Ford Ranger has won another award here in Malaysia. Ford's global pickup truck has been named ‘2019 Malaysia Pick-up Truck of the Year’ at the Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards hosted recently in Kuala Lumpur. New Colours For The 2018 Ford Ranger - Meteor Grey for the Wildtrak and Cool White for the FX4

Ford's official distributor in Malaysia has announced limited edition colour variants of the 3.2liter Ford Ranger Wildtrak and the 2.2liter Ranger FX4. These new limited edition colour variants usher in the new year for Ford and Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC). The Wildtrak gets Meteor Grey, which is a dark, dark grey, and the FX4 gets a while called Cool White, which you can see in the photo above.

A bit of regional automotive news now folks. Ford Motor Company has announced the official start of production for the Ford Ranger pickup truck at its Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) facility to help meet extraordinary demand across the Asia Pacific region.

Hari Raya has already begun at Ford. From a promotion point of view that is. Ford and local distributor Sime Darby Auto Connexion has announced attractive cash rebates and monthly repayments for selected models nationwide. The monthly repayments after the rebates for new Fords are from as low as RM588 for Fiesta, RM908 for EcoSport and RM1,258 for Kuga.

Ford sells 650 vehicles in March 2016

Ford had announced a few days ago that its March 2016 retail sales in Malaysia that grew 24 percent from the previous month to 650 units.

The performance was driven by growing demand for the tough Ranger pickup, with March sales increasing 19 percent from the previous month of 513 units. Initial customer deliveries of the  new Focus also kicked off in March.

Ford will launch sometime next week an online documentary on the Ford Ranger. Built Ford Tough, is an online documentary series from Ford that captures a team of Ford engineers in the field, punishing the new Ranger in conditions that echo what customers may experience and more.

2015 is a Record Year for Ford in Malaysia

Ford today announced 2015 retail sales in Malaysia of 12,130 units, driven by an all-time record year for the Ford Ranger pickup.Ford finished the year strong as December sales rose seven percent from the previous month to 889 units. The class-defining Ranger remained Ford’s best-selling vehicle in Malaysia, and the country’s second-best-selling pickup truck overall in 2015, with full-year sales rising seven percent year-over-year to 9,231 units.

Ford Ranger keeps Ford sales up in November

The Ford Ranger is really making Ford's sales in Malaysia soar. Out of 830 units of retail sales in November, 707 units from this is the Ranger XLT and also the 3.2liter Ranger WildTrak. The Ranger is indeed a fabulous pick-up as I had the opportunity to test drive one a sometime ago (not this latest facelifted one but that was actually competent enough for most of us).

Industry News: Ford Malaysia announces promising sales numbers for September retail sales

Ford today announced September retail sales in Malaysia of 844 units, driven by continued demand for the Ranger (above - which has been recently facelifted) and Fiesta (below).The September result helped drive third quarter sales up 34 percent from the previous quarter to 2,691 units, as the Ford brand continues to gain momentum.
