The All-New DS 7 Crossback SUV has been launched in Malaysia by the Malaysian distributors, Naza Euro Motors Sdn Bhd. This is a premium SUV by PSA Group's newest brand, DS. It has been designed to express refinement, excellence and French know-how with the purpose to bring French luxury into the SUV market.
Coming into Malaysia with one variant, the new DS 7 is priced at RM199,888 on the road before insurance and is powered by a 165hp 1.6liter turbocharged engine making this an quite an efficient premium vehicle that won't break the bank in terms of fuel consumption. With its 6 speed automatic transmission, and its SUV ride height, it should be practical and economical at the same time.
The interior is also quite impressive with a lot of soft touch plastics and pleated leather seats. It is luxurious in the modern sense. So it does not feel like an old Chesterfield sofa but more modern and contemporary, but still adding the right amount of refinement that is wanted in a premium sort of vehicle. DS, is an offshoot of Citroen and was named after the legendary Citroen DS and it does show off luxury compared to the other brands owned by PSA.
So what is being offered by DS is a different take on what you would normally see on the roads. The SUV is what could be said as a slightly different take on luxury. Quite different from the other European premium brands and it does look individualistic to a certain extent. Of course, I do believe that DS could try push the boundaries a bit further as the original Citroen DS still looks like a spacecraft. More spacecraft stylin please...though this is a good start.
Anyway, the All-New DS 7 Crossback SUV was unveiled last weekend by Laurence Noël, Head of ASEAN & CEO of Naza Automotive Manufacturing, Groupe PSA and Dato Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan, Deputy Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings. DS has always placed particular emphasis on the light signature of its vehicles, and it continues to be a key feature of their styling. Reflecting the best tradition of craftsmanship, considerable thought went into every detail of the DS 7 Crossback SUV and the materials
used inside the car. Extending from the dashboard to the door panels and from the consoles to the seats, passengers and driver will be encompassed in the same complete ambiance.
On the exterior, the DS 7 Crossback SUV sports a muscular yet elegant look resulting in a

Resembling faceted jewels, the LED modules of the DS ACTIVE LED VISION headlamps emit a purple light when DS 7 Crossback is unlocked, before pivoting progressively by 180 degrees to create a hypnotic visual effect.
On the rear, DS 3D Full LED rear lights finished with three-dimensional scale effect and

The interior of DS 7 Crossback SUV is a chic, contemporary vehicle that reflects the expertise at DS Automobiles.
