UMW Toyota Motor Announces That the Order Books for the Upcoming All New Toyota Camry is Now Open

Good News! The All-New Toyota Camry will be brought into Malaysia soon! UMW Toyota Motor have announced that all authorised dealerships in Malaysia will be taking bookings of the All New Toyota Camry starting from 1st November 2018 onward. This is good news for those interested in acquiring the newest edition of the full sized Toyota here.

The real good news is that this All New Toyota Camry actually looks pretty good and less unclemobile. This is for young at heart uncles! And even if you are the most uncle of all the uncles out there, this is still the car for you as it looks better that before...really better than before. I've seen one of these new Camry over in Perth when I was holidaying at the end of last year. It looks sporty and it could be something I would even be interested in driving on a daily basis (based on its looks alone).

The All New Toyota Camry is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. The car has been designed to have some next level type of purposeful functionality and enhanced technology that also brings about better driving performance. Hmm, Toyota has seen the light and made the Camry more driver-centric.

This is something sorely missed in the old Camry with felt very staid, boring and very normal to drive. The current Camry was a car I have spent time driving when it was new sometime in 2015 over in Australia during my holidays then - Yes, I love Australia okay. I can't help it. If Toyota have said they've spent more time trying to improve how the Camry drives, this is a good thing.

Anyway, the All New Camry will be sold here with Toyota Safety Sense features such as Pre-collision System, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) as well as Automatic High Beam (AHB). No lacking in equipment and safety kit here. Toyota Malaysia is giving us consumers more than ever and who benefits? We do. And I hope to see it in the flesh here very soon.

The All New Toyota Camry will come with full 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage. Interestingly, UMW Toyota will only be launching one variant and the price is estimated at RM 189,900. It also shows that Malaysians like buying full specced models. The RM189K price tag means that the entry level 2.0 variant has been dropped for the moment. It also means that the market for a large D segment sedan could be shrinking due to similar priced SUVs gaining popularity and that premium carmakers are also squeezing the market at the top end of things by coming out with entry level premium cars which are compact but has the badge to sway consumers.

If you want to view the All-New Camry, you can head to the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS) 2018 at the Malaysia International Trade Center (MITEC) from 23rd November to 2nd December 2018. This is just around the corner folks.
