Naza Kia Malaysia have unveiled the facelifted Kia Optima, Sorento SUV and Grand Carnival MPV as well as the enhanced Kia Rio models in Malaysia. Aside from styling tweaks on the facelifted models, all are fitted with advanced automotive technologies and upgraded features which will enhance their driving experience.

The New Kia Optima GT 2.0L gets a new front grille, LED fog lamps and new rear combination LED lamps while still running on 18-inch alloy wheels. The New Optima GT has new ambient lighting around the dashboard and car doors. The Optima GT is now available in five exterior colours – Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, Gravity Blue, and the newly introduced Silky Silver and Platinum Graphite.

The car's infotainment system now has a 7-inch touch screen with Around View Monitor (AVM) camera. Finally, the upgraded Kia Rio now comes with a 6-speed Automatic Transmission. This is a major improvement and is much welcomed. Notable upgrades include the addition of Auto Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, Blind Spot Detection System (BDS) - the first in the compact B segment to have BDS, and Electrochromic Mirror with Auto Dimmer. the New Rio 6AT comes with 16-inch alloy wheels and tyres. So it looks better too.

The colours available for the New Rio are Signal Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Smoke Blue, Deep Siena Brown, Clear White and Platinum Graphite. The compact hatchback is offered from RM78,888 on-the-

So there you have it. Kia Malaysia have essentially upgraded their whole range of vehicles with the exception of the Kia Picanto and the Kia Sportage. But personally, Kia cars these days come with pretty good specs out of the box and we may see some changes for these models too in the near future. Who knows.
