There will be a new Porsche Centre in Johor Bahru by 2020 according to Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the authorised importer of Porsche vehicles here in Malaysia. Construction work is expected to start by the end of this year and operations of the estimated RM48 million centre is scheduled to begin by the first quarter of 2020.

The upcoming Porsche Centre Johor Bahru will sit on a 74,052 sq ft piece of land. Its structure will occupy an estimated build-up area of 58,311 sq ft on it and once it is operational, it will enable more coverage of the Porsche brand here in Malaysia. In 2017, SDAP opened the Porsche Centre Penang and by 2020 coverage will now be available in Johor.

SDAP sees potential in the southern market according to Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance. He strongly believes in the long-term potential for Porsche in Malaysia and is convinced that this latest addition will support our growth whilst assuring an outstanding experience for Porsche customers in Malaysia.

The new 4S Porsche Centre will be equipped with a sales showroom, service workshop, spare parts warehouse, and a state-of-the-art body and paint centre. This is an all-in-one centre and it is the first of its kind here in Malaysia when it is operational. SDAP has stated that they have set their standard in accordance to Porsche AG requirements. The facility will be equipped with the latest Porsche technology, trained professionals, and the use of genuine Porsche parts, materials, tools and equipment.

With after sales has proven to be the key differentiator in the luxury car business, Porsche is a customer-centric brand and peace-of-mind ownership experience is a pivotal element in its approach. With this upcoming  facility, SDAP aims to fulfil growing customer requirements and enhance our After Sales competencies of the Porsche brand here in Malaysia.

This is great news to Porsche owners here in Malaysia and even those in Singapore. The new centre will enable customers from the southern region to have easy access for their needs.
