The New Volkswagen Golf Mk7.5 Will Be Launched Soon - March, Maybe, From The Looks Of It!!!

It looks like Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is going to launch the new, facelifted 2018 Volkswagen Golf Mk. 7.5 here soon. Their website already has an inquiry form which you can fill up and then you can stand a chance to be the first few who will get to 'discover the new Golf family'.

Three facelifted Golf variants will be launched soon by the looks of it. The Golf, Golf R (pictured above) and Golf GTI. I heard it could be as early as March or at the very least April. It all depends on a lot of things which I have no idea of at all. But if Volkswagen have an inquiry form on their website, it definitely is soon!

According to what I've read, Volkswagen have new engine was introduced along with the facelift; a 1.5 litre TSI which produces 130.0 PS or150 PS depending on the state of tune. It should replace the pre-facelift 1.4 litre TSI engine which was also available alongside this new 1.5 litre engine when the Mk7.5 was launched in November 2016 over in Europe.

The Golf GTI 7.5 has a performance boost where power was increased from 220PS to 230PS  and from 230PS to 245 PS with the performance pack. The Golf R had its output increased from 300 PS to 310 PS. So you get a bump in power aside from the usual cosmetic jobs that come with a facelift.

Over in Europe, the facelift had a larger infotainment screen size across the range as well as the option for a fully digital dashboard like what you get in the Passat or Tiguan Highline variants here. The rear lights now utilise LED technology as standard (including "sweeping" indicator on sportier variants).

So just head over to the link HERE and fill in your details if you're interested. From what foreign press reports I've read on the new Golf, the car performs pretty well. So, I personally am quite interested to get my hands on one of these.
