Shell Malaysia has announced that Diesel vehicle owners in Sarawak will finally be getting Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5. It will be made available in stages in major cities in Sarawak and for now it is available at stations in Bintulu. Shell stations in Miri, Kuching, and Sibu will also be providing this better quality diesel in due course.
Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 is formulated with Shell's DYNAFLEX Technology. This has new dirt-busting molecules to keep the engine clean and efficient. It helps to clean and protect key fuel system components, such as fuel injectors, from build ups that may reduce engine’s performance. In addition, the new Shell FuelSave Diesel Euro 5 contains less than 10 mg/kg of sulphur, making it very suitable for modern diesel engines which requires low sulphur diesel fuel.
It will also pollute less compared to the more common Euro2 or thereabouts diesel in regular use. Now, it is a good thing that the folks in Sarawak can benefit from cleaner diesel like the folks elsewhere in Malaysia.
