Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) is now opening the order books for the new, enhanced Volkswagen Jetta. The estimated price for the new Jetta ranges between RM110,000 to RM130,000 and it is available in four colours - Candy White, Platinum Grey, Reflex Silver and Deep Black. There will be three variants - Trendline, Comfortline and Highline.
This new Jetta will also feature a new 1.4liter direct injected turbocharged TSI engine and is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch DSG gearbox. Volkswagen has now moved away from the twincharged 1.4liter that was put into the Jetta previously. Now it features the same newer engine that only has a single turbocharger that has been fitted to the current Mk7 Golf 1.4 TSI. This is a welcome change in my opinion. Newer (and in some ways more simpler) tech but with the same amount of performance with more efficiency and reliability.

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 September 2016 – Volkswagen Passenger Cars
Malaysia (VPCM) is now accepting pre-bookings for the new Volkswagen
Jetta.
The new Jetta is available in three attractive model variants – Trendline,
Comfortline and Highline. Under the hood is a new 1.4L TSI single-
turbocharged direct injection engine that is mated with a 7-speed direct
shift gearbox, giving an impressive output of 150PS and a torque of
250Nm between 1,500 to 3,500rpm, making the Jetta one of the most
powerful vehicles in its segment.
Officially recognized as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV), the new Jetta
offers superior energy and fuel efficiency, thanks to its start/stop and
regenerative braking functions.
Safety is at the core of all Volkswagen vehicles, and key safety features in
the new Jetta include six (6) airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC),
Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), and hill-hold control.
