NAZA Italia reveals the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T in a simultaneous global debut with the official launch at the Paris Motor Show

Not too shabby for Malaysia eh? We actually get to view the newest Ferrari at the same time it is launched officially at the 2016 Paris Motor Show! NAZA Italia, official importer of the Ferrari brand in Malaysia, has unveiled the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T in a simultaneous global debut event. The reveal was held at the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur today, in tandem with the car’s official launch at the Paris Motor Show.

This premiere is definitely an honour for Malaysia as Ferrari customers in Malaysia get to see it first aside from those in Paris and in Europe. Present at the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T media premiere earlier today in Kuala Lumpur were Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman of NAZA World Group of Companies and Mr. Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far and Middle East Hub.

According to Ferrari, the GTC4Lusso T brings about a new Ferrari GT concept that is aimed at owners seeking a car that is sporty, versatile, and ideal for driving on a daily basis. Something that they can use it for their commute to work instead of just purely for recreation. And track days. With this car you can take 3 of your friends to the nearest mamak stall for drinks or an outing with the kids. How's that for a Ferrari?

The new Grand Tourer type of Ferrari combines elegance, superb occupant comfort and sportiness with the thrilling driving dynamics delivered by a combination of rear-wheel-only drive, four-wheel steering, lighter overall weight and increased weight bias towards the rear (46:54).

The car’s 3.9-litre V8 turbo is the latest evolution to emerge from the engine family that was nominated the 2016 International Engine of the Year. Its maximum poweroutput is 610 cv (601hp) at 7,500 rpm while maximum torque of 760 Nm is available at between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm. 0-100kmh in 3.5seconds and a maximum speed in the 320kmh region. Not too bad for a Shooting Brake styled supercar that can easily carry four in relative comfort.

This is the first Turbocharged V8 Ferrari that can sit four people comfortably. There have been other four-seater V8 Ferrari - the 208 / 308GT4 (1973-1980) - pictured above  and the the Mondial (1980 - 1993) - pictured below. This, is the first time a 2+2 Ferrari gets a V8 Turbocharged engine. Yup. Some Ferrari history for you here folks. So it has been a while since we had a 4 seater Ferrari with a V8 engine. But you could also say that the GTC4Lusso T is the first front-mid engined 2+2 seater V8 Turbo Ferrari also.

The supercar will be on sale with the base price of RM 1,088,000.00 (excluding duty and customization options). I predict RM2,000,000++ easily once you add in all the taxes and also the choice of leather, colour, custom fitted luggage for that grand touring trip to Bangkok, some initials, some extra bits and pieces.

NAZA Italia reveals Ferrari GTC4Lusso T in simultaneous global debut

Kuala Lumpur, 29 September 2016 NAZA Italia, official importer of the Ferrari brand in Malaysia, has unveiled the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T in a simultaneous global debut event. The reveal was held at the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur today, in tandem with the car’s official launch at the Paris Motor Show. The first four-seater in Prancing Horse history to sport a turbo-charged V8 engine, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T hails a whole new Ferrari GT concept that’s aimed at owners seeking a car that is sporty, versatile, and ideal for driving on a daily basis.

Present at the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T media premiere in Kuala Lumpur were Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman of NAZA World Group of Companies and Mr. Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far and Middle East Hub.

It is the first time Malaysia has been given the honour of participating in a simultaneous global debut of a Ferrari. We are humbled and grateful to have been granted such an opportunity and also know NAZA Italia’s customers appreciate the fact that they are one of the first in the world to acquaint themselves with the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T,” said Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman of NAZA World Group of Companies.

The new GT effortlessly marries elegance, superb occupant comfort and sportiness with the thrilling driving dynamics delivered by a combination of rear-wheel-only drive, four-wheel steering, lighter overall weight and increased weight bias towards the rear (46:54).

The car’s 3.9-litre V8 turbo is the latest evolution to emerge from the engine family that was nominated the 2016 International Engine of the Year. Its maximum poweroutput is 610 cv at 7,500 rpm while maximum torque of 760 Nm is available at between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm.

The V8 turbo’s characteristics suit day-to-day driving in urban contexts: a rich powerful soundtrack in acceleration that becomes more muted at lower speeds, rapid pick-up from low revs courtesy of versatile, modular torque delivery and, last but not least, excellent range.

Ferrari ushers in a whole new GT concept with this dynamic four-seater. Powered by the latest evolution of the V8 turbo engine that won overall International Engine of the Year 2016, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T delivers heightened performance for a sporty everyday drive.

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T has all the superior qualities Ferrari owners have come to admire in the brand and we know without a doubt that Malaysian Ferraristi are going to take a great liking to this model. NAZA Italia’s consistent and successful growth of the brand made it a fitting choice of partners with whom to host a simultaneous launch as the global debut,” stated Mr. Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far and Middle East Hub.

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T’s dynamic control systems have been specifically calibrated to boost responsiveness to commands. In particular, the 4WS (rear-wheel steering), which is integrated with Side Slip Control (SSC3), makes for more rapid response to steering wheel inputs entering and exiting corners, thanks to the rear wheels steering in the same direction as the front ones.

The feeling of longitudinal performance in this new model has been enhanced at low speeds by Variable Boost Management and underscored by throttle response with zero turbo lag. Thanks to variable torque curves (VBM) between 3rd and 7th gear, longitudinal acceleration is consistent through the ratios, increasing smoothly with engine speed, resulting in a feeling of vivid but superbly progressive acceleration.

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T’s styling remains the same innovative take on the shooting brake coupĂ©, reinterpreting the concept with an extremely streamlined, tapered shape that gives it an almost fastback-like silhouette. The cabin is an effortless melding of distinctive Ferrari styling and the luxurious elegance expected of a four-seater GT. The Ferrari GTC4Lusso T features the unique Dual Cockpit architecture, designed to enhance the shared driving experience for both driver and passenger. It also incorporates the latest iteration of the infotainment system complete with an impressive 10.25” HD capacitive touchscreen.

NAZA Italia expects that the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T will be a new favourite among Malaysian Ferraristi and that this model’s warm welcome will be reflected in its sales,” stated Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal.

The Prancing Horse’s first V8-turbocharged four-seater is being introduced at the base price of RM 1,088,000.00 (excluding duty and customization options).
