My Auto Fest 2016: Peugeot previews the new 408 e-THP sedan at the NAZA Group display with other Peugeot, Kia and Citroen cars

Naza Group had a strong presence at MY Auto Fest 2016. They brought Peugeot, Kia and Citroen this time around with the soon to be launched all-new Peugeot 408 e-THP sedan (above) sitting quietly in the middle of the cars that were displayed.

Peugeot

The new 408 e-THP takes after the latest Peugeot 308 THP but adds a boot instead of a hatch. You should find the same, but latest iteration of Peugeot's 1.6liter turbocharged engine and a 6 speed automatic transmission. It also gets the 308's small steering with the meter cluster sitting above it. This actually differs from the 408 sedan offered in China which gets a normal dashboard.

The 'e' in the e-THP moniker means efficient I am guessing, as it denotes the 408's start-stop feature that it would get when it is sold here shortly. It does look so much better than the current 408 sedan. I has quite a lot of character lines and styling cues that make it quite different from the run of the mill C segment cars sold out there. Peugeot says that they are now accepting bookings for the car.

Aside from that, Peugeot Malaysia is offering the Peugeot 208 with massive discounts of RM17,000 depending on model. The 2008 Urban SUV (mini SUV) can be had with a RM30,000 discount. The 308 THP can be had for a RM23,000 discount (I really like how the 308 looks. So very properly styled. One of the nicer looking new hatchbacks on sale today in my opinion). The Peugeot 5008 MPV also comes with a rebate of RM38,000. All very attractive prices for Peugeot cars.

Kia

Kia displayed the Optima K5, the Cerato and the new Rio sedan. Speaking of the Rio sedan, it is quite an interesting proposition for people looking to buy an alternative to the usual B Segment cars. 15inch wheels and tyres, a body kit, a lot of kit inside. I think the wheels should be bigger to compensate for the wheel arches and body styling. Maybe the same 17 inch size like the Rio Hatchback. But if the price is right. Then it is another matter.

Oh...do ignore the Honda logo...couldn't be helped.

The Cerato can be had with monthly instalments as low as RM888. There is also rebates of up to RM15,888 for selected models in the Kia Malaysia range. You have to ask the sales personnel on duty for the details.

Citroen

You can book any Citroen C4 Picasso, Grand C4 Picasso or DS5 and get massive amounts of food vouchers from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. In other words, eat all the prawn, shrimp, seafood you can for free I suppose. There could be other stuff too but you have to ask obviously.

Aside from the individual details given above, the Naza Group also has test drives of most of the cars mentioned, gifts, booking gifts, merchandise and many more items.

My Auto Fest 2016 is on from today until this Sunday, 22nd of May 2016.
