Go Auto, the distributor for Haval cars in Malaysia has launched the Haval H2 SUV. The larger, C segment sized H2 now complements the surprisingly popular B segment sized M4 crossover SUV in the Haval line-up here in Malaysia. Haval now have a better two car lineup and now caters to a slightly wider audience than the single vehicle in its lineup. Prior to this, the Haval brand was called Great Wall Motors and they also sold the Wingle pick-up truck as well as a turbo diesel power SUV.
The SUV equipped with 1.5L Turbocharged petrol engine that makes 147hp and 210Nm of torque. This is sent to the front wheels (FWD) via a 6 speed automatic transmission or in the base model, a 5 speed manual transmission.The H2 comes equipment like 6 airbags, ESP, ABS, Blind Spot Visual assist System, electric folding side mirrors with integrated puddle lamps, a sunroof, six way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, 3.5-inch TFT color display trip computer and a multifunction steering wheel. A touch screen infotainment unit and dual-zone automatic air-conditioning are fitted as well. A lot of equipment for a SUV priced from RM89,950 for the H2 Standard Manual transmission, RM98,950 for Comfort Automatic and the H2 Premium at RM101,950.

GO AUTO TARGETS BIGGER SUV MARKET SHARE WITH LATEST MODEL – HAVAL H2
PETALING JAYA, 25 th May 2016 – Go Auto, Malaysia’s sole distributor of
Haval cars, is set to capture a bigger slice of the local SUV market this year
with the introduction of Haval H2 (1.5 Turbo).
Following the encouraging response of M4 (1.5L), which reached the
Malaysian shores last year, it is indeed timely to bring in a more premium and
powerful range of SUV to capture a wider segment of the local SUV market.
Go Auto Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ahmad Azam Dato’ Sulaiman (seated to the
right of Dato' SM Azli Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin Kamil) said the
company is indeed excited of bringing in the H2 model, which serves as an
upgrade version of the sporty M4.
While the M4 is targeted towards single young professionals who are in their
mid to late 20s, the H2 is suitable for the slightly more mature and affluent
market segment, between 30 and above and young families.
“The M4 has indeed garnered traction among SUV fans where it has received
more than 1,600 booking last year. The response is indeed encouraging,
considering that we are a new player in the local automotive scene.
“The presence of Haval H2 model would certainly expand our product
offerings that would suit the lifestyle and needs of a wider market segment.
We are optimistic with the presence of both M4 and H2 models, we are able
to secure more than 6,000 bookings this year,” he added.
Priced from RM89, 950 per unit, the Haval H2 that comes in a 1.5T 2WD
version, will be among the most competitively priced SUV in the market. While
the M4 is still the most value for money on SUV segment, priced between
RM55, 000 to RM61, 000 per unit.
The H2 comes with attractive features including six-speed automatic gearbox,
electric folding side mirrors with integrated puddle lamps, a sunroof, six way
electrically adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, 3.5-inch TFT color
display trip computer and a multifunction steering wheel.
A touch screen infotainment unit and dual-zone automatic air-conditioning are
fitted as well.
The SUV equipped with 1.5L Turbo petrol engine with maximum power output
in kilowatt/hp at 5600 is 110/147 and the maximum output of torque at 210Nm
is 220RPM to 4500 RPM.
The H2 also include six airbags (front passenger and driver, side curtain, front
sides), Electronic Stability Program, and ABS with EPB (Electronic Parking
Brake). The Haval H2 comes with attractive FR-LH (Front Left Handside)
Blind Spot Visual System, stylish headlamp with Day Running Light (DRL),
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and anti-glare rear view mirror as
well.
