Stellantis Malaysia officially opens Allure Auto Old Klang Road - Their First Multi-Brand Dealership in Malaysia

Stellantis Malaysia together with dealers Allure Auto Sdn Bhd, has officially opened Allure Auto Old Klang Road. This is the second showroom since Stellantis Malaysia took over as principal, and the first multi-brand showroom in the country. The dealership will house new Peugeot models with the recently launched Leapmotor brand and its all-new electric SUV, the Leapmotor C10. More than a brand at a showroom and with many more brands under the Stellantis line-up, we may see even more than two brands in the near future if things go well.

Peugeot Malaysia Announces Latest Prices Reflecting the SST Implementation - Slight Drop in Prices For The French Brand Too

Nasim Sdn Bhd, the authorised distributors of Peugeot cars in Malaysia, has announced the latest prices for the Peugeot range of cars officially sold in Malaysia. This follos the Government of Malaysia’s announcement on the Sales and Service Tax (SST) implementation effective from 1st September 2018. The new prices reflect the 10% sales tax applicable for motor vehicles aside from other excise duties already payable.

The Peugeot 5008 SUV is all new and it has just been launched for the Malaysian market by Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for the Peugeot brand here. The All-New Peugeot 5008 SUV takes over from its 5008 MPV predecessor. It was first unveiled at the end of 2016 with European sales beginning in Spring of 2017. What was previously a 7 seater Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV), it is now a large, uniquely styled C segment 7-seater SUV. Prices for this new SUV start at RM173,888 (before insurance) in Peninsular Malaysia. It will be sold in four colours Emerald Crystal, Amazonite Grey, Nera Black and Pearlescent White and it is currently on display in showrooms nationwide.

Peugeot via their official distributors, Nasim Sdn Bhd and their authorised dealer MN Otomobil Sdn Bhd has opened their latest outlet in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Long Term Report: 2010 Peugeot 308 VTI - Seven Years and 143,000km Later..

Yesterday was the first time in over six and a half years I was handed the keys to the same 2010 Peugeot 308 VTI 1.6 automatic. This car belonged to a family member of mine and the owner and her family have been using it as their family car since 2010. It cost her somewhere in the region of RM100,000 and it has now over 143,000km on its clock. This is a one owner car and it has been maintained at the authorised service centre in Petaling Jaya.

ExxonMobil’s distributor, Mobilub Trading Sdn Bhd (short for Mobil Lubricants), has signed a three-year agreement with Nasim Shd. Bhd., Peugeot’s authorized dealer in Malaysia. Mobilub will supply a range of Mobil lubricants to all 35 Peugeot outlets nationwide.

PEUGEOT & NASIM Launch the All-New Peugeot 408 e-THP

Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Peugeot in Malaysia has finally launched the all-new Peugeot 408 e-THP here in Kuala Lumpur. The 408 is the 4 door sedan variant of the Peugeot 308 hatchback which was launched sometime last year here in Malaysia. There will be only one variant equipped with the 1.6liter direct injection turbocharged 4 cylinder engine with a 6 speed automatic transmission. It will be priced at RM143,888 on the road with GST.

INDUSTRY NEWS: MY AUTO FEST 2016 nets about RM20 million worth of bookings.

 The recent My Auto Fest 2016 which was held over the weekend of 20th to the 22nd May 2016 was quite a success according to its organisers, the Malaysian Automotive Association. The sales driven auto show actually netted about RM20 million worth of bookings which I hope translates into actual sales after this. It was also the platform for various car manufacturers to preview their products.

What are the French good at? Quite a lot actually. They gave us a whole lot of good food like croissants, baguettes, foie gras, escargots, the macaron but not French fries. They gave us great engineering architecture like the Eiffel Tower, the Versailles and the Arc Du Triumph. They gave us haute couture or high fashion and a lot of words that the English language uses - like abattoir, banquet and cabriolet . But to us motorheads, they gave us cars. Like this Peugeot 508 THP SW I had been driving around for a few days.

I got to try the facelifted Peugeot 508 a while ago. I was a bit too busy running around with so many things to do and test drives that it is only now that I found some time to string a few words together for this write-up. The model I got to try was the 2015/2016 Peugeot 508 THP.
