New Mitsubishi Triton Quest Launched - More Equipment for the Base Spec Triton

The New Mitsubishi Triton Quest has been launched by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM). According to MMM, the new Triton Quest is a reliable yet powerful pickup truc, packed with features and that uniquely aggressive and stylish design with a ‘sedan’ outlook. It's the 'sedan' outlook which is different here. Most likely to cater for the on-road only crowd that also loves buying pickup trucks.

The new 2019/2020 Triton Quest is priced at a very attractive RM79,890.00. This is the most affordable pick-up truck currently sold in the market and comes with five years warranty or 100,000km (whichever comes first). From the pics and the price, you may say that this is an entry level variant but it still offers a lot to the table, especially for those who drive on-road and in urban areas more often than not.

The Triton Quest comes with a load capacity of up to 970 KG inclusive of passengers and cargo. Its functional J- Line design gives more room and comfort for rear passengers while retaining a spacious cargo. It also comes with a rear seat secret storage compartment, so that you can hide stuff from those curious people who like to steal things from people's cars. With its more sedan like stance, loading is easier if you want to put things at the rear.

As with other Mitsubishi Tritons, the Quest variant is powered by 2.5-litre turbo-charged diesel engine which makes 110 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. For maneuverability,  the Triton Quest comes with the Best-In-Class turning radius of 5.7m, making it easier to handle and drive on narrow roads and crowded working sites.

Notable features of the Triton Quest includes Seatbelts with Pretentioners, Electronic Time and Alarm Control System (ETACS) which comes with Lane Change Turn Signal System, Power Window Timer, Headlamp Auto off Function, Open Door Alarm, Auto Door Relock System, Auto Speed Adjustable Wipers and a 15-second interior light delay which allows the cabin light to remain on for the next 15 seconds after switching off the car.

Aside from that, the Triton Quest is also equipped with dual SRS airbags and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). The safety features of the TritonQuest are further strengthened by a strong Mitsubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction.

There is also a Multi-Information Display that gives vital information about the truck such as mileage range travelled, service reminder, fuel range and average fuel consumption.

So while it may look a little basic, it is still packed with some goodies. So entry level does not actually mean super empty specs if you buy a Triton. Also, that price is pretty attractive to those who want less frills and just a pickup truck. 

Other than that, MMM also announced that there are Product Enhancements for Triton Variants Offered by MMM Authorized Dealers.

The Triton Adventure X now gets an All Round Monitor, a feature that uses multiple cameras around
the vehicle to create a bird’s-eye-view to aid parking and maneuvering.

For an added peace-of-mind driving, the Triton Adventure X adds on Driving Video Recorder (DVR)  a feature that captures every moment or incident while on the move.

Last but not least, the Triton Adventure X adds on side body stickers to enhance its overall sporty
image, and premium solar and security tint for a greater cabin comfort.

Like the Triton Adventure X, the Triton AT Premium also gets an upgrade including Driving Video
Recorder, leather seats and 7-Inch Touchscreen Audio with Apple Carplay and Android Ready
as standard.

showroom nationwide.
