A little bit more on Mercedes-Benz Malaysia from me. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MBM) together with their oldest and longest authorised dealer here in Malaysia, Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad (C&C) had earlier today officially opened the Mercedes-Benz Cycle & Carriage Bintang Cheras Autohaus (C&C Cheras).
With an investment of RM16 million, the brand new C&C Cheras is part of Cycle & Carriage Bintang’s RM155 million investment in the central region of Malaysia. With a built-up area of 48,642 sq ft, C&C Cheras boasts a showroom area capable of accommodating 15 showroom vehicles and 7 work bays in the service area. A full-fledged 3S facility, the new autohaus is managed by 40 experienced personnel covering sales, technical services and spare parts, and is capable of servicing 300 vehicles a month.
This centre basically takes care of the Cheras-Kajang belt in some ways in terms of sales and servicing of cars. It also adds to the fact that MBM through its partners are opening new sales & service points to cater to the growing market here. Aside from new centres opening, MBM are also revitalising older branches so that they are modernised and stay relevant with the times.
C&C are also seen to be committed with the brand. Aside from Malaysia and Singapore, they have actually spread their wings to Myanmar bringing the Mercedes-Benz brand to the (quite) newly opened up economy of Myanmar.
