Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and authorised dealer Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad today set a new standard in automotive retailing with the opening of the all-new Mercedes-Benz City Store. This concept is new and it is the first of its kind Mercedes-Benz City Store.

Located in the lifestyle and entertainment hub, TREC Kuala Lumpur along Jalan Tun Razak,  this RM4.3 million worth of City Store has 9,373 sq ft of floor space which can display up to seven cars. It also has a private iShowroom lounge,  exclusive bar and lounge as well as interactive signage.

The previous Mercedes Benz Cycle & Carriage showroom located at the Regal House was just further down Jalan Tun Razak. That showroom has been around since the Regal House building (in its current form) was around - late 1980s-early 1990s if I am not mistaken. Located right beside the American embassy that place was part of Mercedes Benz's history here in Malaysia. I bought my own Mercedes Benz C180 there in fact!

Lots of memories. But things change for the better most of the time as this new showroom is larger and obviously better in terms of displaying the cars and more in line with the car maker's Showroom C.I.(Corporate Indentity).

Personally, its now going to be fun visiting my sales advisor there after this!

PRESS RELEASE

Kuala Lumpur, 2 March 2016 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and authorised

dealer Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad today set a new standard in

automotive retailing with the opening of the all-new Mercedes-Benz City

Store. It is the first of its kind Mercedes-Benz City Store located in the

customer experience in which we aim to address and engage with new and

upcoming Mercedes-Benz fans.”

“The urban, modern luxury concept of the city store underlines our ambition

to lead, as the inventors of the automobile we are not only at the forefront of

“In 1951, when Cycle & Carriage was awarded the much sort after

Mercedes-Benz franchise, we started our Mercedes-Benz business along

Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (formerly known as Batu Road). It was the

forerunner in automotive retailing. As time went by the location was not

condusive for an automobile showroom, we moved the business to Regal

House along Jalan Tun Razak, near the Kuala Lumpur City Centre area,

which was a much easier location to access. And today, 65 years later, we

have moved to this location.”

“We are very proud of this latest Mercedes-Benz Cycle & Carriage Bintang

TREC Autohaus as it again redefines the automotive retailing experience.

Having invested RM4.3million in this truly unique new Autohaus, we are

excited to show all our customers the latest and newest in what Mercedes-
Benz has to offer. This Autohaus sets itself apart in appearance with black

ceiling, wood finishing, multiple colors wallpaper and lights which

amplifies the vibrancy of the brand, and the chosen location permits such

loud interpretation.”

“We are confident that with the product offensive strategy adopted by

Mercedes Benz , we will maintain our positive run as we are able to

complement the strategy through providing exceptional ownership

experience with a fresh and vibrant approach in automotive retailing,” said

Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad, Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Wong
