Only launched a couple of
months ago, the new, fully imported Volkswagen Golf R-Line 1.4TSI now comes with 'R-Line' Vienna leather seats. Prior to this
announcement, the Golf R-Line was specced with something Volkswagen called the
'Zoom' fabric. Now you can zoom around sitting on leather seats instead.
The Golf R-Line 1.4TSI
is basically a sportier entry level Golf hatchback. It comes with the
'R-Line' styling package, which includes 'R-Line' front and rear bumpers, rear
spoiler, 'R-Line' badges on its radiator grille and side panels. Now, official
Volkswagen distributors for Malaysia, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia have
upped the specification with the new 'R-Line' leather seats. A surprise since
the car was only unveiled two months ago (as I mentioned above).
So Volkswagen is making it
tastier as leather seats are something which is somehow a much wanted option
for car buyers over here. Now couple it with the temporary zero GST pricing for
the Golf R-Line the carrot dangling at the end of the rod does make things a
little more tempting.
The new Golf R-Line with
seat upgrade is now RM159,888 (before insurance) or just RM1,669* per month
when you finance the purchase through selected financial institutions .
The Golf R-Line’s 1.4TSI
is powered by a 150PS, 250Nm (between 1,500-3,500rpm) turbocharged 1.4liter 4 cylinder engine
coupled to a 7-speed dry clutch direct shift gearbox (DSG) which powers its
front wheels. This current Golf is the facelifted mark 7 version which most refer
to as the Mark 7.5.
