Two things from Weststar-Maxus folks. The first is that Weststar-Maxus has engaged the Awal Ashaari family – Awal Ashaari, Scha Alyahya and their daughter, Lara Alana as Maxus G10 brand ambassadors. The second, is that they are offering deals and attractive trade-in offers for their vehicles, especially the Maxus G10 MPV.
So the brand ambassadors, Awal Ashaari, his wife and a celebrity of her own Scha Alyahya and their child, Lara Alana are now brand ambassadors for the Maxus G10 MPV. They are known to their fans as “Schawalara”, something I totally didn't know as I might have called them 'Awal's family' and that's it. Anyway, they are scheduled to share their Maxus G10 experience with their social media followers and therefore, create a buzz around the brand.
Awal is a well-known television presenter and actor while Scha is a popular actress, television host and model. Their daughter Lara is a reality television star and an Instagram sensation with four million followers, with the highest social media following for children under 13 years of age. Even a person like me who does not bother keeping track of the local entertainment industry has heard of these people. No, I am not a frog in a well.
“The public image as a young, on-the-go family fits in perfectly with our brand proposition,” notes Tan Sri Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim, Group Managing Director, the Weststar Group. “With more than 19 million followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the celebrity family ranks as the most popular family in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.”
As such, Weststar-Maxus plans to feature the family in its future advertising campaigns and a series of videos.
Westar-Maxus Offers and Promotions
The next bit of news is on Westar-Maxus' offers and promotions for the upcoming Hari Raya and until the 31st of July 2018. All Weststar Maxus branches are offering customers an opportunity to trade their existing MPV for a brand new Maxus G10 with the highest trade-in value compared to the market standard and other used car dealers. The G10 is quite a spacious MPV on sale today as it has the capability to seat up to ten (10) people inside including the driver. This is one of the larger sized MPV and suitable for larger than usual families.
As an extension of its campaign, Weststar Maxus is now offering a five-year warranty (up to 120,000 km mileage) with two years free servicing covering parts and labour for new Maxus G10 customers. This is quite attractive and in line with the brand's push to make it more visible here in Malaysia.
In order to beef up sales and after sales touch points, Weststar Maxus has opened two new 3S (Sales, Service and Spare Parts) showrooms in Plentong, Johor Bharu and Bukit Mertajam, Penang, to serve its Southern and Northern customers. In the Central region, the Weststar Maxus Parts Centre based in Klang will operate 12 hours daily to ensure a fast turnaround and delivery time. There are also two new showrooms in Bangsar and Kota Bharu.
Aside from that, Weststar Maxus will also continue to offer the Maxus G10 and V80 commercial vehicles with zero percent GST pending the implementation of the Sales and Services Tax (SST) by the Government.
