Happenings: CYCLE & CARRIAGE'S LUCKY CUSTOMERS GET TO GO TO GERMANY AND VISIT THE MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM AND AMG FACTORY

Recently Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad, the longest serving Mercedes-Benz dealership in Malaysia treated a group of new customers to a trip to Germany where they visited the International Motorshow Germany (IAA), the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the AMG factory to name a few. This trip was most likely a magical moment for them all. This was the Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Mercedes-Benz Grand Tour to Germany.

Getting to visit the heart of Mercedes-Benz or the center of any automotive company is a great experience. Add a trip to a first class motorshow, an automotive museum and a visit to one of the most incredible tuning divisions around is surely something to be remembered.

What this tells us is that Mercedes-Benz and their dealer, Cycle Carriage Bintang is that they actually put customers at the center of everything. They seem to put the first class experience for their customers at any and every opportunity they get. The Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Mercedes-Benz Grand Tour is a good example of the opportunity we created to form a stronger bond with our customers through a common platform; our mutual love and admiration for the Mercedes-Benz brand.

All of this is what makes the Mercedes-Benz brand achieve a record number of sales year after year. The customer experience has been incredible if you have been taking note as I have. There is the service at the showrooms and then there is the after sales service which is exemplary. You add the customer drives to local destinations where people get to try out the latest models as well as the Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience where customers get to learn how to drive their Mercedes-Benz cars properly and you almost have the perfect customer experience put together by a car company.

Now you get a group of lucky customers and send them on a trip to Germany for an automotive experience it all goes another level higher. Note that this isn't just customers who buy top end AMG or S-Class models.

Definitely an experience that would never be forgotten. And one that would increase brand value and customer retention too!

First Class Experience Exceeds Expectations

Petaling Jaya, 19 October 2017 – It was a trip like no other for Tay Kian Son who realised his dream of visiting the epicentre of German automotive technology, the Mercedes-Benz Museum and AMG Factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Tay was one of the participants hosted by Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad (Cycle & Carriage) during a recent trip to Germany as part of Cycle & Carriage’s latest offering to new customers who were provided the option of taking up a sales package or the Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Mercedes-Benz Grand Tour.

“Our customers are at the centre of everything that we do at Cycle & Carriage. It is the driving factor behind our goal to drive first class experiences for our customers at any and every opportunity we get. The Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Mercedes-Benz Grand Tour is a good example of the opportunity we created to form a stronger bond with our customers through a common platform; our mutual love and admiration for the Mercedes-Benz brand,” said Cycle & Carriage CEO, Wilfrid Foo.

Determined to immerse customers in the progression and innovation of the Mercedes-Benz brand, Cycle & Carriage organised an extensive agenda beginning with a visit to the world's largest motor show, the International Motor Show Germany, also known as the IAA, held in Frankfurt.

Next, the group made their way to Stuttgart for a highly anticipated tour of the Mercedes-Benz Museum and AMG Factory. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is the only museum in the world that documents the history of the automotive industry in a single continuous timeline of 125 years from the 1800s to the present day.

In addition to presenting the fascinating history of the Mercedes-Benz brand, the exhibits also illuminated insights into the future of the German marque. Occupying nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum showcased 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits.

Participants of the Cycle & Carriage Malaysia Mercedes-Benz Grand Tour were particularly intrigued by the Fascination of Technology display which gave an exclusive glimpse into day-to-day work at Mercedes-Benz and also presented topics concerning the future of automobiles.

The visit to the Mercedes-Benz AMG factory followed next. Participants witnessed how AMG, the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz, crafts each engine to perfection. The participants were also treated to an exhilarating insight of HWA AG, the motorsport division of Daimler AG, responsible for developing and constructing race cars.

“Most can only dream of an opportunity like this; to see and understand the craft that goes into each Mercedes-Benz car. We had an opportunity of a lifetime touring the HWA race division, and we even caught a glimpse of the GT3 and GT4 coupe cars. We were very privileged to have a representative from AMG give us a thorough explanation of the Mercedes-AMG Project One, which is an engineering feat. It was a good initiative from Cycle & Carriage to organise this tour and I think they did very well. At the end of the day, it’s not just about selling a car, it’s more about developing a relationship between the customer and the dealership,” explained Tay.

“It was a fantastic trip. It couldn’t have been better! The programme including the Frankfurt Motor Show and the AMG factory was very well planned and balanced with some sightseeing arrangements, which was good,” said another satisfied customer, Zulfitri bin Abd Aziz.

Lew Wain Han who also joined the tour said, “The entire trip was great. Cycle & Carriage should continue to organise such initiatives. I believe more customers will really enjoy the beautiful Mercedes-Benz museum and very intriguing AMG Factory.”

Balancing the tour with the picturesque sights of Germany, Cycle & Carriage also included a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle, a UNESCO Heritage site that houses a 19th century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The tour participants finally concluded their week-long adventure with a traditional Swabian dinner with the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Mark Raine.
