Volkswagen Malaysia Announces Recall on 12,732 Vehicles For the DSG Transmission Hydraulic Pressure Accumulator

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) have announced a voluntary recall on models produced between 2011 and 2015 to rectify the hydraulic pressure accumulator within the 7-speed dual clutch gearbox caused by a production issue. A total of 12,732 Volkswagen vehicles have been identified to undergo inspection under the recall. The affected models are Beetle, Cross Touran, Golf (Mk6 and Mk7), Jetta, Passat (B7), Passat CC, Polo (6R) and Scirocco.  This inspection and part change, if needed is free of charge to the owners.

These are technically the start in someone's Porsche journey before they move up to a 911 or the jump from other German performance cars. The price of the new 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder starts from RM 999,000.00 and RM 970,000.00 respectively.

MINI Malaysia has launched the New 2020 MINI Convertible Sidewalk Edition. This is limited to 20 units only for the Malaysian market and takes after the original 2007 first generation MINI Sidewalk Generation. It is priced to go at RM285,899.47 after taking into account the SST Exemption which is in force until 31st December 2020.

Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG Line Launched for the Malaysian Market - Offered with the 2.0liter Turbocharged Engine Again

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new C 200 AMG Line and compared to the current C 200 Avantgarde which was essentially the entry level C-Class here, this is what most of us would want. And it is priced slightly cheaper too - RM251,587.39 over RM259,000 when the C 200 AV was launched in February of 2019. Most likely due to the lack of sales tax due to the tax holiday but I'll take it as a drop nonetheless.

Perodua Introduces New Electric Blue Colour for All Variants of the Myvi as Well as the Upgraded Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 for X AT, H AT & AV AT Variants

Perodua has added a new body colour for the ever popular Perodua Myvi. All variants have Electric Blue as a colour option to choose from. Aside from that, Perodua has introduced version 2.0 of the Advanced Safety Assist  (ASA) to the Myvi. Variants with the upgraded ASA 2.0 are now the Myvi 1.3 X AT (as an option), 1.5 H AT and the range topping 1.5 AV AT variants. Prior to this, only the AV had the ASA system offered. These are now available for booking at all Perodua showrooms nationwide.

Volvo Trucks Malaysia Delivers 5 New FM370 4X2 and FM440 6X2 Trucks to Chemtrax Sdn Bhd

Johor-based transportation company Chemtrax Sdn Bhd (Chemtrax), has taken delivery of five units of Volvo trucks from Volvo Trucks Malaysia. These are four units of the Volvo FM370 4x2 model and one unit of the Volvo FM440 6x2 model prime mover trucks. The purpose of  Chemtrax's acquisition is for the company’s expansion and also for replacing several old trucks in its fleet. The new trucks will be utilised for transporting caustic soda chemical compounds and also butadiene gas.

Nice trivia figures here too. The limited run of only 1,100 unit Proton Saga Anniversary Edition is priced at RM39,300 (after zero sales tax until the end of 2020), the same as the current Saga with extras.

New Toyota Corolla Cross Launched in Thailand - New Compact SUV Globally Launched Online - No Idea When it Will Be Coming to Malaysia

The Toyota Corolla Cross has been unveiled via Toyota Thailand's website. The New Compact Toyota SUV is now officially on sale in Thailand and will be launched in a number of markets, including Malaysia from the looks of it as we actually received the word of the launch from UMW Toyota Motor, the Malaysian distributor of all things Toyota. No idea as to when it will officially be launched here but do expect Thailand imported vehicles to be sold here when that happens (much like the Corolla Altis 1.8G we currently have here.

Perodua Donates 5,000 Face Shields to 17 Secondary Schools in the Hulu Selangor District
