New M Sport variant for CKD BMW X7 launched for the Malaysian market - 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport

Earlier today, BMW Malaysia announced the vaailability of the New 2024 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport, which is also locally assembled at adds another variant to the Pure Excellence variant that was unveiled earlier this year. The SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), which is BMW's way of calling their Sports Utility Vehicles will also be assembled at  the BMW Assembly Plant in Kulim, Kedah. It will retail for RM718,800 on the road before insurance, which is about right for BMW's full sized, flagship series SAV.

This new X7 M Sport variant gains new M Specific front and rear styling with the addition of the M Aerodynamics Package, along with door entry sills that feature the iconic M inscription. Other notable new exterior highlights on the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport consist of the BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille that is beautifully illuminated by LED fibre optics for a strong visual aura, along with new 22-inch M Sport light alloy wheels in double spoke 913 M bicolour with mixed sized tyres.

As for the interior, the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport features a new 'Fineline Black’ fine wood trim with high-gloss metal effect, the M leather steering wheel as well as BMW Individual extended Merino leather upholstery in Black or Tartufo. 

With regards the driver's assistance systems, the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport will be equipped with the Driving Assistant Professional including Distance Control with Stop & Go function along with the Steering and Lane Control Assistants – enabling Level 2 Autonomous Driving capabilities and offering enhanced comfort as well as safety while also allowing a relaxed driving experience.

Powering the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport w is an in-line six mild hybrid engine, capable of a 250 km/h top speed (most likely limited as per German speed limit standards), delivering 380hp / 280kW and 540 Nm of torque. This allows the SAV to have a 0-100kmh time of 5.8 seconds. Paired with the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system, for optimum grip and handling, and an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the SAV also boasts the mild-hybrid technology with a 48-Volt starter generator for even better efficiency and dynamics.

In addition to the existing Mineral White Metallic and Black Sapphire Metallic colour offerings for the BMW X7, the variant-exclusive M Brooklyn Grey Metallic will also be made available for the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport here in Malaysia

With the Straight Line Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the New BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport can be owned with monthly instalment plans starting from RM8,322.00 (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a seven-year tenure).
