UD Trucks and TCIE Unveil New Euro 5 Heavy-Duty Quester and Medium- Duty Croner Trucks in Malaysia

UD Trucks and its sole distributor partner in Malaysia, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE) unveiled the new Euro 5 range of their Quester (heavy-duty) and Croner (medium-duty) trucks. While the key feature is the new Euro5 engines in these trucks, the 2023 upgrade for the Malaysian models also includes features that will improve uptime, efficiency, and optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for truck owners, all while lowering the vehicle’s environmental impact.

Hino Malaysia Launches the HINO 700 Series Heavy Duty Truck With 16 Speed AMT


Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (HMSM) launched its new HINO 700 Series heavy-duty trucks with 16-speed Automated-Manual Transmission (AMT). While this refreshed 700 Series was launched early 2019, it did not come with the AMT option then. Now, HMSM has finally brought this into Malaysian and the truck is fully imported from Japan (CBU).

Hino Showcases the Poncho Minibus at MCVE 2019 - Together the the Upcoming 700 Series Prime Mover with AMT Gearbox!


If you folks have been following Motoring-Malaysia's YouTube Channel, you'd already know that I had recently uploaded the preview of the Hino Poncho low-floor minibus at the Malaysian Commercial Vehicle Expo 2019 held over at MIECC in Kuala Lumpur recently. Hino's Malaysian subsidiary, Hino Motors Sales Malaysia had participated in the expo in a big way and displayed a few of their vehicles, namely the Hino Poncho minibus as well as a preview of the upcoming Hino 700 Series Prime Mover AMT.

UD Trucks Launches the Refreshed Quester Heavy Duty Truck - ESCOT Automated Manual Transmission Now Offered for the First Time in Malaysia


One of the more notable launches at the recently held Malaysian Commercial Vehicle Expo 2019  was the Malaysian launch of the refreshed UD Quester heavy duty truck. The new Quester represents an evolution of the Quester, a truck first launched in 2013, updated slightly in 2016 and now into something which is designed to cater to the latest needs in land transport. The new refreshed truck builds on its proven robustness and reliability,and introduces key features such as UD's ESCOT automated manual transmission, retarder, electrical cab tilt, engines with higher horse- power and user-friendly telematics.
