Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) recently announced at the Penang Autoshow 2026 that the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N are now officially open for bookings here in Malaysia. Also on display at the motorshow (which is happening this weekend and ongoing at the time of writing) are the cars mentioned, so visitors to the show will be treated to a special showcase of the IONIQ 5 N, allowing enthusiasts to get up close with the 2024 World Performance Car winner at the Penang Autoshow 2026 from 1–3 May 2026. The N series of cars from Hyundai are officially available here. Now officially open for bookings, the Hyundai N lineup consisting of the IONIQ 5 N and 6 N, represents the pinnacle of Hyundai’s performance engineering, rooted in the brand’s motorsport heritage and honed on the legendary Nürburgring track.
IONIQ 5 N: Track-Bred, Road-Ready
The IONIQ 5 N is a bold statement in the world of electric performance – a vehicle that challenges the notion that EVs cannot deliver a truly visceral driving experience. Voted the 2024 World Performance Car, every element of the IONIQ 5 N has been purposefully engineered for performance, from its track-tuned chassis and bespoke N-specific hardware producing 650ps, to its suite of driver-focused technologies designed to put the driver firmly in control. This allows for a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260km/h, all while maintaining a practical WLTP range of 448km.
IONIQ 6 N: Performance Refined
The IONIQ 6 N takes the IONIQ 5 N's performance philosophy and elevates it further. Built on the aerodynamic IONIQ 6 sedan platform and awarded World Performance Car of 2026, the IONIQ 6 N extends the boundaries of what an electric performance car can be, combining a more refined dynamic character with an aggressive 650ps output. It achieves a 0-100km/h sprint with time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 257km/h, supported by 487km WLTP range. To ensure ultimate precision, it features exclusive hardware as well, namely the Swan Neck Spoiler and an integrated Interior Action Camera Mounting.
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N are now open for bookings, with estimated prices starting from RM450,000 and RM460,000 respectively. Each booking comes with merchandise from the official Hyundai N collection worth RM2,000.
The cars will be built-to-order, ensuring precision and exclusivity for buyers. Customers are encouraged to book early to be among the first to drive these high-performance EVs in Malaysia.
Bookings can be made through Hyundai N authorized dealers Sime Darby Auto Hyundai Sdn Bhd (Central), Goh Brothers Motor Sdn Bhd (Northern) and Heng Lian Enterprise Bhd (East Malaysia). More dealer locations will be revealed soon.

The brand is also extending its nationwide FIFA World Cup Global Test Drive Campaign up until 3 rd May 2026. This would be the final chance for customers to test drive any Hyundai model and stand a chance to win a trip for two, to watch the Norway vs France FIFA World Cup 2026 match in person.
