GWM TANK 300 is priced at RM 250,000 On-the-Road before any insurance. Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has officially launched GWM TANK 300 in Malaysia. The Tank 300 is a off-road specced out SUV rather than the recent launches of crossover urban roundabouts we have been seeing here. It is fully imported from China, hence the price but this is actually a capable off-roader, and not many of them have been offered in our market these days.
GWM offers the first 300 GWM TANK 300 customers some early bird offers. These are as follows
(1) Five years / 100,000km of free service maintenance, including labour and parts, applicable every 10,000 KM or every 6 months, whichever comes first.
(2) Enjoy an unlimited mileage Lifetime Warranty for Engine & Transmission (limited to first-hand owner).
(3) Receive a GWM x Thule Adventure Kit, which includes an RM8,000 Thule Voucher and a Thule Paramount Backpack worth RM999.
(4) Series of Adventure Trip with GWM TANK – Station 1: ChongQing and ChengDu, China. In conjunction with the launch of GWM TANK 300, customers who have completed their vehicle registration by August 12th, 2024, will have the chance to win an Adventure Trip with GWM TANK to ChongQing and ChengDu, China. Ten customers will be selected through a lucky draw contest.
Additionally, this GWM TANK 300 also comes with a standard 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty.
The GWM TANK 300 is actually capable for off-roading than the usual crossover. It takes more vehicles like the Jeep Cherokee, the Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Land Cruiser than SUVs like the Toyota Cross, or even Chery Omoda. According to GWM, the Tank 300 is also ideal for urban travellers as well as the adventure seekers it has been designed for. In fact, the Tank has solidified its reputation as a champion off-road SUV in China for 42 consecutive months, achieving global sales of over 300,000 units in just three years. With its arrival in Malaysia, GWM aims to surpass previous sales records and establish new accomplishments.
It is also styled as it is intended to be and seems to work fine off-road from what we have seen. You get traditional chunky styling and more in like with the Pajeros and Land Cruisers. Since most of the SUVs mentioned are only mostly grey imports here in Malaysia these days, the Tank 300 could be an interesting proposition to those that want a brand new vehicle and intend to do a little more hardcore driving on rough terrain.
