Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has launched the Volkswagen ‘Sound & Style’ range for those who want better audio in their cars. . The ‘Sound & Style’ range is an accessory package available with the Volkswagen Golf R-Line, Passat Comfortline, Passat Highline and Tiguan Highline. The cars get the German audio specialist HELIX tuned sound accessories and is also packed with other Volkswagen accessories worth up to RM16,000, depending on model.
The Volkswagen ‘Sound & Style’ range cars are fitted with a Volkswagen Approved Accessory HELIX 300W Soundbar. This unique soundbar is installed in the luggage compartment of the cars. This HELIX soundbar system is basically a 5-channel amplifier with an integrated sound processor and subwoofer. This basically adds on to the standard 8-speaker sound system available in the Golf R-Line, Passat Highline & Comfortline and the Tiguan Highline. It definitely adds bass due to the addition of the subwoofer but since it now has a 5 channel amplifier, the audio quality should be better and clearer due to better calibration of sound profiles according to the different models.
While the main Volkswagen Approved Accessory is essentially the HELIX Soundbar, the other Volkswagen Approved Accessories fitted to the range include aluminium sports pedals, aluminium side scuff plates and VW Tint. Details of the accessories are stated in the product brief below.

These cars are indeed quite unique options for the Volkswagen customer. Prior to this we had various limited run editions with the last one being the JOIN editions. But we believe that these new 'Sound & Style' variants actually offer a little bit more in terms of something other than just extra bits of trim. This time, you get something a little more unique in terms of audio. Sometimes, a great sound system does wonders to the soul especially when you are stuck in traffic.
