BMW 218i Gran Coupe M Sport Launched in Malaysia - Being Locally Assembled, it Looks Like The Entry Level Premium Car to Get Folks!

BMW Malaysia recently unveiled the First-Ever BMW 218i Gran Coupé M Sport over at the Pavillion in Kuala Lumpur. This is the brand's first locally assembled four-door coupé in the compact premium segment here and it is actually quite a good buy. Priced at RM218,800 or now RM211,467 until the end of the year due to government rebates it could be the best premium sports sedan (yes, 4 doors you know and being quite a trad kinda guy, it is a sports sedan) out there at the priced offered. I would be tempted in procuring one if I was in the market for a new car right now.

This is a hot lap around half of the Sepang Circuit. Actually, it is more of a 'warm' lap of the South Track (half track) Sepang Circuit in the Proton X50 1.5TGDI Flagship variant compact SUV by Ex-Proton R3 (Motorsport) Driver Mr Fariqe Hairuman. It wasn't stomach churning dramatic or anything as the nasi biryani I had for lunch stayed inside my stomach and did not come out the same way it came in. This exercise was part of the 2nd Media Preview of the new Proton X50 featuring Active Safety & Performance Features.

The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is now available in Malaysia for RM363K onwards

A few days ago, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the new Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC. This is their slightly larger than the GLA-series SUV but smaller than the GLC-series SUV model of SUV. So many SUVs there. Anyway, this new compact SUV is a little larger than the A-class derived GLA so it may suit a lot more people out there. Anyway, this will come in this AMG specified variant (as well as Mercedes-Benz GLB 200, 250 variants) and could be very good to those that find the GLA 35 a tad too basic for their liking....if there ever was such a thing.

This is our review of the the 2020 Passat Elegance 2.0TSI. The video is the main review and this article fleshes out a little bit more....So do watch it folks! 

This facelifted model actually takes over both the 1.8liter and 2.0liter TSI variants here and is actually even cheaper than the sole 2.0liter variant sold here previously. The 1.8TSI started at RM159K for the base Trendline and RM179K for the Comfortline. So the single 2.0TSI seems to be good value and actually suits Malaysian car buying trends where the highest specification variant seems to be the one that sells the best in the long run. 

Ferrari SF90 Stradale Previewed in Malaysia - The First Series Production Plug-in Hybrid by Ferrari

Naza Italia, who are the official importer and distributor of  Ferrari  in Malaysia, has officially launched the SF90 Stradale. The unveiling of the new Prancing Horse was done in conjunction with the unveiling of the newly renovated Ferrari Petaling Jaya showroom earlier today. This is Ferrari's first series production PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) ever and it is available from the base price of RM 1,908,000.00 (before duties, customization options, taxes and insurance). Of course, be prepared to wait for a little while (as long as eighteen months or more) as it is a Ferrari, and demand outstrips supply.

The launch of this innovative yet still very recognisable as a Porsche fully electric Taycan was in conjunction with the official opening of the new Centre. Airbus ACH160 Helicopter Keeps Pace with A Renault F1 Car (VIDEO)

Hello folks! This is motoring/motorsports related as well as aviation related. Check out this chase scene between an Airbus Corporate Helicopters' ACH160 helicopter and Renault F1 Team at the Circuit Paul Richard race track at Le Castellet. The chase illustrates the perfect coming together of design, precision, innovation and agility as car and rotorcraft, i.e helicopter, follow the flow of the circuit's blue lines. You can check out both the Renualt F1's as well as the ACH160's 'racing' lines as they both navigate through the circuit.

The Proton X50 Officially Rolls Off Its Production Line - Media Preview with 4 Variants & 6 Colours Confirmed - Bookings Taken From 16 September Onwards

Firstly, Proton has confirmed that their new B segment Sports Utility Vehicle will be called the X50. Secondly, we were invited to the media preview of the new car. No prices has been announced as yet but we were shown the Premium variant - one of four variants offered in 6 different colours. Thirdly, the official roll out of the X50 was also done earlier today and it will be launched within the next month or so with bookings for the SUV taken from tomorrow onwards.
