My friend, car enthusiast and occasional poster in here, Firdaus Asri, had sent me this photograph of something trying to be a Nissan GT-R.
One of the oldest Automotive blogs in Malaysia. Since 2006 and going strong. Motoring-Malaysia.blogspot.my is an award winning Malaysian motoring / automotive / car news & reviews website or auto blog. It is where we rant and rave about cars, trucks, buses, motoring, motor vehicles and any interesting automotive industry related stuff. Unswayed in our point of view and darn proud of it! It's not about the numbers...it's about passion.

Spotted for Sale: 1990 Wine Red Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 - The original Godzilla
Welcome to another round of 'Spotted for Sale', where we troll the want-ads on mudah.my for something worthy of petrolheads to buy or dream of. This time its another classic. It's the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, the first of the all-wheel drive Skyline GT-R that all JDM lovers go weak in the knees for. A 1990 vintage, and recently brought into Malaysia from Japan. This is one among 6 or so R32 Skyline GT-R that are currently on sale in the Klang Valley ranging from RM118,000 to RM150,000. Oh, prices stated are not inclusive the 6% GST. Ho Ho Ho.

The Nissan Cefiro A31 'Skyline' mod a.k.a the R-TERTIPU
Heavily modded - more R34 than A31
I was perusing through some older photos and thought I'd like to discuss about a certain old Nissan that was, or still is quite popular with the car modding and drift scene - the Cefiro A31. This car was produced from 1988 to around 1994. It shared the same platform as the Nissan Skyline R32 and the lesser known Nissan Laurel. It shared its MacPherson strut front suspension with the S13 Silvia with the exception of the 4WD version which shares the same front and rear suspension as the R32 Skyline GT-R.

The paradox in car names..beginning with the latest all-new Large Mini
My friend recently commented on my post regarding the All-new 2014-2015 Mini. He considers the large Mini an Oxymoron. I have to agree with him. Large Mini.
Now that the MINI is actually a brand name instead of actually meaning something small and petite unlike the original Austin Mini, it is the biggest automotive oxymoron around. To those that aren't aware of what 'oxymoron' means it is a figure of speech that juxtaposes contradictory elements. The MINI is definitely an oxymoron as it isn't truly small. We have cars like the Smart ForTwo and those Japanese Kei Cars which are much smaller than BMW's Mini.

Tech Talk: The Nissan GT-R - Japanese, but not as we know it
What we have over here folks is a Nissan GT-R. This is actually one, if not the fastest point to point cars that has ever been built and we all know about its Porsche 911 Turbo eating capabilities. We also know that its 3.8liter V6 engine makes around 520bhp in stock tune and this figure is actually some figure that was cooked up by Nissan for its brochures as almost everyone who's driven one thinks it has about 50bhp more.

Capturing the essence of the original Skyline GT-R: Wald Black Bison Nissan GT-R
".... their Nissan GT-R Sports Line Black Bison Edition is very tasteful in my opinion. It captures the essence of the first Nissan Skyline GT-R, the KPGC-10 from the 1970s with that simple black rear wheel arch extension and it works."
I think you readers will also agree wholeheartedly with this opinion of mine. Click here to read about it. Posted over at Myautoblog.org.
