Malaysian Scania Technicians Compete at the Scania Top Teams Competition Again

This has been awhile. Scania Malayia recently held the Malaysian leg of the Scania Top Teams competiton for their technicians. I managed to find some time during my busy post-lockdown schedule to attend this event. This could have been the first competition of sorts for technicians assembled at one place since the country went thought lockdown after lockdown to combat the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Five teams managed to compete in the finals from a total number of twelve (which are from the 12 branches throughout Malaysia) and Team B100 from Scania Malaysia's Ipoh workshop secured the win.

Last Tuesday, March 16 2021, UD Trucks held a virtual awards ceremony for the winners of the Extra Mile Challenge 2020 local driving competitions. Instead of having 1 winner from the finalists, a total of 10 winners from 9 countries joined the ceremony virtually to be honored and officially crowned Ultimate Drivers. The folks at UD Trucks decided that due to the challenges the world is currently facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic (where travel restrictions are abound and work itself was challenging in every continent due to lockdowns) it was deemed wise to crown all of the country winners as joint champions. 

Hino Smart Driving Contest 2019 - The Second Hino Malaysia Truck Driver's Challenge Promotes Smart and Safe Driving Among Truckers

Last year Hino Motors Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd organised the Hino Ultiamte Drive truck driver's challenge here in Malaysia. The truck driver's contest received super positive feedback from the truckers so this year, Hino Malaysia had organised the same competition but it now sports a new the name the - HINO SMART DRIVING CONTEST. This is so that the driver's challenge is more in line with the Hino Smart Driving Program. As with last year, the contest was held over in Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC), Sendayan.

UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge Returns for the Fourth Time

UD Trucks and its sole distributor partner in Malaysia, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE),  recently kicked off the 2019 edition of the annual UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge (UDEMC). This unique truck driver's competition is held by UD Trucks to identify, recognise and ultimately reward the best Malaysian truck driver who will get to represent the country and compete against other truck drivers throughout the world in the UDEMC global finals which will be held in Japan in April of 2020.

PROTON’s 1 Tank Adventure is back for 2019. This is the event that invites Proton owners to experience the sights, sounds and cuisine of Malaysia while driving really, really economically. This year's edition is set will start this weekend, the 14th of September 2019 and over RM100,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs.

This is the video of my track test / session on the Sepang Circuit with the 2019 BMW M2 Competition. As I've stated in the launch article, which has a written part of this drive experience, the compact coupe is sublime.
