Trucks: The 2018 Fuelwatch Challenge Malaysia Champion is Haree Murughan

Haree Murughan A/L Muniandy from ASTRO Productions Sdn Bhd has won this year's Volvo Fuelwatch Challenge. For 2018, 1550 drivers had participated in the qualifications held nationwide between June and July this year, with only the top 9 finalists gathered at Shah Alam for the final round of this annual driver's competition.

Taipanco Sdn Bhd has added 10 units of Volvo FM440 6x2 prime movers. Volvo Trucks Malaysia recently hosted an official vehicle handover event in conjunction with this purchase by Taipanco Sdn Bhd. The logistics specialist has been a strong supporter of Volvo Trucks since 2005 with over 130 trucks purchased since 2005. These new units of Volvo FM440 delivered are part of Taipanco’s continuous fleet expansion plan.

Trucks: The Volvo FL Electric Has Been Launched - Volvo Trucks First All-Electric Truck For Commercial Use

Volvo Trucks have introduced the Volvo FL Electric for sale over in Europe. This is the truck manufacturer's first all-electric truck for commercial use and could be the first manufacturer offering a zero emissions commercial vehicle that can easily be bought and run. The FL Electric is based on the Volvo FL series of trucks and its main applications in urban distribution as well as refuse operations. The FL Electric which will start sales and series production in Europe next year and Volvo Trucks will be at the forefront in coming up with solutions for electrified goods transport in cities with this offering.
