Another mid-sized EV sedan is coming to town folks! GWM Malaysia has annouced that their GWM ORA 07 fastback styled sedan is now open for booking. This is the latest edition to the retro looking current range of Great Wall Motors' cars to be sold in Malaysia. The Ora Good Cat compact hatchback comes to mind with its unique looks. This ORA 07 definitely takes after that with its rounded styling cues. Quite different from the usual fare we get and somehow blends German retro styling to modern tech.
Customers who book the ORA 07 from today onwards (1st March 2024) will receive an exclusive early bird offer - a 5-year free maintenance package (including parts and labour). This offer is available for a limited time only.
Notable exterior features of the GWM ORA 07 include its unique rounded 'bug-like' design. Exterior equipment includes intelligent LED headlamps,frameless windows, a panoramic glass roof and adaptive electric rear spoiler,.

ORA 07 Long Range., This Long Range variant is especially good for those with range anxiety, or those, who are like me, lazy to charge anything on a daily basis: The configuration that will be sold here features a single electric motor, meticulously engineered to deliver an impressive range of 640 km. The front-mounted electric motor is rated at 204 PS (201 hp or 150 kW) and generates 340 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and efficient driving experience for discerning customers seeking long-range capabilities.
ORA 07 Performance: For those craving exhilarating performance and all-weather capabilities, the Performance variant is the perfect choice. Equipped with two electric motors for all-wheel drive, this variant offers a range of 550 km. With a total system output of 408 PS (402 hp or 300 kW) and 680Nm of torque, ORA 07 accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.3 seconds, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience.
I'd get range over outright performance. You'll thank me later if you're the type of guy who likes picking up the charging cable less.
In terms of safety features, the GWM ORA 07 adopts the concept of a cage-like body structure in its design, providing comprehensive safety protection. The ORA 07 comes standard with lane departure system, LKA( lane keeping system), BSD (blind spot monitoring system), and supports functions such as 360 degree panoramic view, intelligent evasion, traffic sign recognition, cruise speed limit, overspeed alarm and more.
According to GWM Malaysia, the ORA 07 will be available in three colours: 3 colour, such as Crystal Purple, Amethyst Gray and Jade White.
