Volkswagen Group Malaysia has decided to take more remedial action pursuant to the recent protest by a group of VW owners on the 13th of March 2014. Aside from the earlier announcement that service centers will be opened on Sunday, owners can now look forward to voicing out their EXTENDED WARRANTY grievances when ever they feel like it during 9am to 6pm on weekdays begining 17th of March 2014.
In short, VGM has a call center so that you can inform them directly on how you are being treated by the service centers as regards the Extended Warranty or whether you have any other complaints to voice out. The hotline (which isn't so hot as it is only during office hours - but a good step) is 1-800-88-8947. Call them to try exorcise your haunted Volkswagen. Do not call a coconut holding shaman as he wouldn't know nuts about how to exorcise your faulty DSG transmission. This is the better way.
Aside from that, sources say that VGM are indeed aware of the quagmire their dealership service centers are causing them and are doing every effort to resolve servicing issues with them. Of course, you owners should pray that they do but also take all of this with a pinch of salt.

Coconut holding shaman just says pooh kiri pooh kanan and all your DSG problem will go away!
Any updates what VW management decide to do?
Yup. VW Group Malaysia are in the midst of streamlining the Extended Warranty process by being more hands on and not leaving all to the service dealer and insurance agent as well as increasing the leeway for servicing by 1,500km - meaning if its a 10,000km service you have up to 11,500km to get your car serviced before warranty is void. - You can read it here -http://motoring-malaysia.blogspot.com/2014/03/volkswagen-group-malaysia-announces.html
i scrapped my plan to upgrade from Honda City (2005) to VW Passat (2014) after reading all the negative feedbacks from VW owners about the quality of VW cars as well as the service centres.
i test drove other conti cars and fell in love with Peugeot 508 & Ford Focus. to my dismay, Peugeot & Ford service centres have issue with spare parts. a Peugeot salesperson proudly mentioned that it takes just 1-2 weeks to get a replacement bumper for Peugeot 508.
well, honda can just replace your bumper in a day or two. it shows that conti 3s centres dont even keep basic spare parts like a car bumper.
so, i just stick to honda with "time for yourself" :)
