No-Single-Use-Plastic Campaign funded by “Master Sustainability by Scania” Started At The SK Dato Keramat School in Penang

On the 31st of July 2019, Scania Malaysia launched their newest social initiative, the No-Single-Use-Plastic Campaign funded by “Master Sustainability by Scania.”. There, they distributed reusable lunch boxes and water bottles to the students, teachers and staff of Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato’ Keramat, Penang which was the venue of this event. The main intention of this campaign is to prevent use of disposable plastics among the school children as well as creating awareness of using sustainable means of living.

Scania Malaysia Invests in Our Country's Children - The Master Sustainability by Scania Fund Kicks Off at Sekolah Kebangsaan Perdana Jaya SS19

Scania Malaysia had recently established their “Master Sustainability by Scania” Fund which was set up to motivate and assist local primary schools to start up curricular and extra-curricular activities or projects that focus on sustainability. Sekolah Kebangsaan Perdana Jaya SS19, Subang Jaya was the first recipient  of the program and they had launched its urban farming and environmental awareness project some time last week. The project features a self-sustaining herb and fruit plantation that uses compost and hydroponics.
