Do you know that there has been an e-hailing ride service in Malaysia called Maxim? Anyway, the company has been operating here for quite a while now (since 2018) and had conducted a recent survey on their drivers for us to find out about who these people are. Maxim, who operate in about eleven countries globally, are onwards toward being one of the world's prominent ride hailing service. They have tractable data of application, driver, passenger and history of ride, the users get the opportunity to know more about their drivers and the type of car that they can expect for their booking.
The days the usage of e-hailing rides is increasing in Malaysia and ride services are an essential aspect for everyday commute. Users prefer ride hailing service as their everyday travel partner to skip the headache of commuting through traffic jams and to also pay extra for parking. So how best to try educate potential customers here on what Maxim is and how their ride sharing drivers are and the type of car most used? A survey....
So in a recent survey conducted by Maxim Malaysia the answers for the top three car models used for ride hailing and the type of car models which the drivers prefer to use for ride hailing has been gathered. As anticipated, the Perodua Myvi is the most favoured due to the its overall efficiency, low fuel consumption, reliability and sustainability.
The Perodua Axia and Perodua Bezza came out as second and third in the survey list making Perodua a clean sweep in terms of the most popular cars used by Maxim e-hailing drivers. So Perodua rules.
The other survey conducted was on the top 3 common names of drivers. Maxim drivers just like any other Malaysians possess the most variety and unique names, amongst the variety of names ‘Muhammad’ is the top one, and subsequently Abdul and Nur. So yes, it does seem that 'Ahmad' is the top name used among drivers, which is a derivative from Muhammad. So it would be safe to call your driver from any ride hailing 'Ahmad' or 'Ammad'. There will not be a chance to say 'Home James' here from the looks of it.
Moving on to the age of their drivers, the chart above will tell you the average age for their drivers. Maxim opens the chance for everyone to join as drivers. Drivers are required to have a competent driving license and E-hailing vehicle permit (eVP) from the concerned authority in order to provide ride hailing services to users. The drivers have the flexibility to choose their schedule as a full time job or part time.
Maxim Malaysia always ensures the safety of the passengers, and sharing these small facts will build comprehensible trust upon Maxim by our beloved users.
So what can you come up as a conclusion to this article? Well, if your order through Maxim application and most chance you will get someone who is between 18-35 years old and is named Muhammad, who will pick you up in a Perodua Myvi.
Just remember its Ahmad, decently youngish and drives a Perodua of one of three types.
