Sometime in the late 1970s I remembered reading about a Rolls Royce front grille grafted on a Volkswagen Beetle (the Original, not the New Beetle). It was dubbed the Volks Royce. This was before the early 2000s when Volkswagen did actually own Rolls Royce and Bentley for a short while before the Rolls Royce name reverted to current owners BMW. Now I was about seven or so years old then. Things like this would impress me.
Anyway, someone did stick on a Rolls Royce grill on a Beetle and called it the Volks Royce. But most of the time, the grille came from one of those 1950s or 1960s old British sedans that lay rotting in the junkyard. A glass fiber or fiber glass bonnet was then sculpted to hold it in place and that was basically it. Some may have more extensive modifications like rear wheelarch covers and extensions but most of the time, it was mainly the grille and a bonnet in place of the original clamshell bonnet. Novelty in those days.

And maybe to this day also as this seller claims that the car is a RARE ROLLS ROYCE EDITION VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE from 1968. Yaaaa...and 1MBD is actually a sovereign fund that Malaysia actually makes billions in profit from all of the time.
Maybe this is why he wants RM45,000 for it. So how about it? ready to part that much money for a Volks Royce?

Have a good day fellow enthusiast!
