Analysis: Proton Sold 70,991 Cars in 2017 - More Improvements To Come In 2018

It seems that PROTON has managed to somewhat stem the tide in terms of overall falling sales over the past two years or so. The Malaysian car manufacturing company recorded an overall sale of 70,991 units for 2017. Whilst this was a slight drop from the previous year - 72,291 units in 2016, the actual facts behind the figures show a positive outcome for Proton rather a totally negative one.

Volvo Trucks recently launched a global programme – See and Be Seen – aimed at creating road safety awareness for cyclists. The launch took place in Hin Hua High School, Klang where the event was held as part of the school's 70th anniversary celebrations. The Malaysian leg of the programme was launched during a scouting skills competition & campfire event where 800 scouts from all over Malaysia took part. 

New Colours For The 2018 Ford Ranger - Meteor Grey for the Wildtrak and Cool White for the FX4

Ford's official distributor in Malaysia has announced limited edition colour variants of the 3.2liter Ford Ranger Wildtrak and the 2.2liter Ranger FX4. These new limited edition colour variants usher in the new year for Ford and Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC). The Wildtrak gets Meteor Grey, which is a dark, dark grey, and the FX4 gets a while called Cool White, which you can see in the photo above.

Spotted: Classic Mercedes-Benz W108 S-Class

I Spotted this immaculate W108 Mercedes-Benz S-Class yesterday while at the bank. This is most likely the later, late 1960s 280S model which somehow was more than the earlier 250S or 300S variants here in Malaysia. It is great to see classic cars like this still in use and in fantastic condition.

Recently, over 150 talented students from 16 countries from all over the world attended the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge World Final at Yas  Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi to participate in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) education competition. This is quite an ambitious and innovative Corporate Social Responsibility  initiative undertaken by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) as it actually unearths future talent for JLR.
