Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2018 Will See 6 Teams From Malaysian Universities Compete Against The Best Student Built Energy Efficient Cars In Asia Pacific & the Middle East


Make the Future Singapore is a free festival celebrating bright energy ideas and innovation throughout Asia. The festival’s main focus is to  hands-on experiences and if that is not possible, virtual reality experiences to the people so that they can understand what is happening in energy consumption right now as well as what the future of energy and its usage will look like. A big part of this exhibition the Shell Eco-marathon Asia, where students from 18 countries from the Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions will compete against one another using their self-built energy efficient vehicles.

Perodua Eco-Challenge 2017 moves into Phase Two - 10 Higher Learning Institutes Being Developing Parts & Accessories to Compete in Final Round in November


The Perodua Eco Challenge 2017 (PEC 2017) is one of Perodua’s main Corporate Responsibility programmes and it has moved into the second phase. This time around,  participants from 10 selected institutions of higher learning to compete in the Final round of PEC 2017 in November this year. This second phase is where the participants will begin to develop parts and accessories that may be used in future Perodua models.

UiTM student team walks away with RM35,000 at the inaugural Formula SAE ASEAN - Taylor's Uni students a close second!


Today I attended the Prize giving ceremony of the inaugural Formula SAE ASEAN at the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI) in Cyberjaya. Seven (7) teams from six (6) universities competed at the multi-stage design competition. This year's competition comprised of teams from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Taylor's University, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Inti International University and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). From there, the team from UiTM (car no 88) was the overall winner, with a close second by the team from Taylor's University (No 28).
