Rolls-Royce launches the eighth generation Phantom limousine in Malaysia

Rolls-Royce's latest generation of the iconic and luxurious Phantom arrives in Malaysia in its Series II form. The Phantom, is elegance and timeless luxury redefined for this current time and still looks timeless at ever. The exclusive launch event took place at Glasshouse @ Seputeh yesterday.

At the event, Mr Anas Zawawi Khalid, Director of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Kuala Lumpur, said: "We are excited to celebrate the arrival of Phantom Series II to Malaysia. With its rich heritage and commanding design, a blank canvas for bespoke features, this pinnacle Rolls-Royce represents the epitome of timeless luxury, tailored to the discerning preferences of our distinguished clientele."

While you may not notice many changes towards the overall design and styling of the Phantom Series II limousine from the previous generation, Rolls-Royce has made changes. It is just that they keep things subtle and as many of us like to say, 'why fix it if it isn't broken?'.

The Phantom definitely isn't as it still epitomises luxury and the finest motor driven carriage in my opinion. This is the eighth in a long line of Phantoms and according to Rolls-Royce, it is technically, materially, aesthetically and dynamically still the best car in the world. I for one will not argue with that as being a fan of luxury, and all things beautiful, this is all of that.

The Phantom Series II is available here in two variants, one being the Series II Extended which, obviously means longer in wheelbase than the regular (already large) wheelbase. The Series II will be priced from RM2.5Million with taxes and the Extended at RM2.9million with taxes. But do bear in mind that all Rolls-Royce cars are hand built in the UK and are made to order with bespoken touches of the owner. So the amounts stated are what the prices start at and can climb to even higher levels.
