The All-New Proton X90 is touted as PROTON’s first New Energy Vehicle and the third SUV in Proton's X-series model line-up. It is also their first large sized SUV that has 6 or 7 seats and bookings for it had opened on 8 April 2023 at all PROTON 3S/4S outlets. There are also exclusive city preview sessions before the official launch serve which is stated down below so that potential customers can view the actual car beforehand. Not much could be said about it except that is is sized like a Hyundai Santa Fe or a Kia Sorento. The closest examples in terms of size of something that has been sold here. It is about time that we are seeing an all new model from PROTON since things had gotten back to normal post pandemic. While sales of new Proton cars have been on the uptake, there has been nothing really new since the launch of the X50 awhile ago.
That said, PROTON has found a niche in making premium feeling SUVs of late and I think this is the path which they should keep on taking (even though I am not a SUV person at heart as what's best for the business isn't what's best for me).

● The PROTON X90 pairs a 48V Electric Motor Synergy (EMS) System with the 1.5L TGDi engine, and is designed to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, improve performance and deliver a smoother driving experience.
● The X90 will comes with 3 new safety features:
o Rear Collision Warning – Alerts the driver about potential rear-end collisions
o Rear Cross Traffic Alert – Detects approaching vehicles while reversing using the rear radar sensor
o Traffic Sign Information – Detects and displays road signs
City Preview Sessions
● City Preview sessions across six cities started on 8 April 2023 and are by invitation only. The public can contact the Sales Professionals of PROTON 3S/4S Outlets. Walk-ins can enjoy the flea market session from 1.00pm to 2.00pm only.
